Not Lepin because:
1) almost no resale value
2) sets are always a bit off compared to Lego
3) do you really want to support a company so blatantly stealing designs (both Lego's and individuals' custom designs)
There just haven't been that many sales on it. You can bet your bottom dollar any widely-available deals for it would have been posted here, as there are plenty of AFOLs lurking on OzBargain and a good majority of them are Star Wars collectors.
It's still only been 9 months since it was first released and evidently it hasn't achieved the popularity of the other equally-sized UCS behemoth, the Millennium Falcon, which oddly enough has still seen bigger discounts this year.
The most widely-available, lowest price deal for the Star Destroyer thus far was this David Jones offer at the start of the year, and that's still a pretty paltry 25% off RRP discount as the Star Destroyer's RRP ($1100) is lower than the UCS Falcon's RRP ($1300).
Personally, I'm waiting until I see the Star Destroyer hit the magical 36% off RRP figure (~$700) which is about the maximum discount most flagship UCS or Technic sets receive in their lifespans.
Weren't those maximum discounts for David Jones tatty box stock or sets sent in the mail with just an address sticker and no extra box for postage?
