Telstra Online Postpaid SIM Only Plans Incl 5G - $15 P/M Bonus Credit - $65 = 100GB & $85 = 150GB P/M up to 12 Months

Hi All,

Long time member and lurker of the site since way back when but this is only the first or second time posting a deal so please feel free to put me back in my box if I haven't done this right or it's already been posted. I'm actually surprised this has gone under the radar as sims and data deals are like what OzBargainers feed off, can't get enough lol…

Anyways I think these plans from Telstra Online that are currently being run until June 30th 2020 are the cheapest and best value plans Telstra have run either in a while or ever. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but $15 per month credit on a month to month sim only deal makes their top two plans very appealing with up to 12 months credits available. All plans include unlimited free calls and texts which is standard but also include free 5G which I beleive ends at the end of June for the lower plans.

100GB = $80 - $15 = $65 p/m

150GB = $100 - $15 = $85 p/m

Being straight from the telco itself I think after the discounts represent great bang for buck especially being Telstra and the bonus of keeping 5G Free as part of the plans.

Thanks, please go easy on me, I tried at least :)

    If you sign up $55 80GB plan at TGG or JB, you can get $400 gift card.

    • Is that for new customers only?

      That's finished, and required one to port in besides.

      • I was in TGG two days ago, it was still available. Just buy a sim(no Belong or Aldi who using Telstra network) in Coles or other store to activate, then port in.

      • Can confirm. I asked in-store at JB today and was told the $10/month discount has already ended. I believe it ended officially on the 14th.

      Those plans don't support 5g thou?

  • On any plan, you have to pay additional $15 to include 5G data in your plan.

      Telstra plans include the 5G as a free trial expiring 30/6/2020.
      They will have to extend this as there isn’t enough coverage atm.
      How will they be able to charge extra for a service they can’t deliver?

      I’m not sure JB plans have to option to add 5G

      The Telstra small and med plans require an additional $15pm for 5G after June 30th. The Large and XL plans have 5G included for no additional cost.

  • This is still not worth it.
    I'd rather wait for JB and TGG to have their specials with the Telstra plans

    Don't start or port anything to Telstra until they stop using the excuse of COVID19 and restore their online chat function or anything resembling customer service. Trying to get any sort of help or resolution to your problem will probably coincide with the one year anniversary of your request.

  • International calls are a must have inclusion for me and TGG and JB plans sadly don't allow that anymore (please correct me if I am wrong). Hence why going with Telstra directly makes sense to me with a SB or CR cashback to switch over + this $15 monthly saving. Agree that international calling pack does chip away on the savings.

      Yes, I just double checked at JB, they don't have an international call pack option which rules it out for me too. Really annoying that this is the one thing they miss.
