I signed up for Club Jetstar about a week or two ago using the referral link through OzBargain. The page I was redirected to was definitely a referral page, but had no mention of any $20 voucher for signing up. After signing up, I waited a few days but never received a voucher, so I decided to ask through the live chat feature yesterday. The rep advised that there is no referral bonus, and were quite insistent that they would not be crediting one.
A little disappointing, but looks like it was a previous deal which has expired. Posting here for the benefit of potential future Club Jetstar members, and also to note to the site admins that the Jetstar referral page which mentions the $20 voucher should probably be fixed.
On the topic of Club Jetstar, I signed up as the Club Jetstar discount I got on a recent major flight purchase was the same as the $55 membership fee, so didn’t see any real disadvantage. However, doesn’t seem too amazing if you’re not saving or breaking even as soon as your purchase it. I’m not sure what exactly the “early access to sales” benefit means when we didn’t get a heads up before the $19 sale yesterday!
