          I have a Myer 5 min drive from me , I'll try see if they have anything latter in the day .

    Update on my cancelled order:
    Monday:
    * Made purchase @ 4:44am via Myer store using credit card
    * 4:44am Received verification for purchase
    * Replied to verification confirming it was legitimate
    * 4:55am Myer "We've received your order" email
    * 16:36pm Myer "Sorry your order's been cancelled" email
    * 17:20pm Called Myer to be told that there was an issue with my credit card and it was cancelled - blamed my card or CC company for the error.

    Tuesday:
    * 11:30am Called my credit card company for an explanation as to what may have happened. Told there was no issues at all with the transaction, verified all ok from my earlier confirmation, but never went to pending/processed as it appears to have been cancelled by the Merchant. There is no information on the transaction stating it was cancelled by my credit card company or the likes.
    * 12:05pm Called Myer - Here is why it was cancelled…. MYER CANCELLED IT BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT VERIFY THE PURCHASE ON THEIR END. They did not even contact me even though they said it should be. Their reasoning was my email address and address did not match … This is ridiculous, how is that even a verification step! Apparently there is none available nationwide.

    A big FU Myer, you screwed me for no reason, it was literally a <$500 purchase! Never again.

        Maybe that is why others were cancelled too… they are using an excuse that their purchases were not verified however Myer's own process is completely broken. I could understand a purchase of a great value and would need to be verified, but something less than $500 getting cancelled even though its been verified by the bank… why is there even this additional step in place!

      Update:
      Myer are claiming my "order was automatically cancelled likely because the billing details not matching those on the payment method. Their system requires all details to match. For example, the name & billing address on the order must match those on the payment method"

      I do not understand at all how there can be a discrepancy with this, there is no place on their store check out pages to input a name/address in relation to the payment method. There is literally only the following inputs available:

      • Name
      • Delivery Address
      • Email
      • Phone number
      • Billing Address (automatically ticked as "same as delivery address")
      • Credit card number / expiry / cvn

      So how is it even possible that a order can be automatically cancelled from the above information if ordered all correctly? Unless I have fat fingers and hit a key in a field somewhere. But if it's automatically cancelled by their system, why does it take 12 hours to cancel!

      They just simply made it up mate. I didn’t bother to call them as I know none of these people on the phone would solve the problem.

      My account was created years ago and had made many orders with myer, paid via PayPal, there is no reason to cancel unless there is no stock. I mean hey I’m the first batch people who placed order, if my order is cancelled then most people would cry, they must not follow the normal queuing system, totally BS.

          I'll check back through the forenoon. Managed to get the Fiat 500 yesterday after it sold out in the morning. Although reading people's recent experience Myer will likely cancel the store orders and fulfill the eBay orders.

              @shiprekt: Myer pick a lot of online stock from store, while there is buffer stock (e.g. you need X units for a store so show as inventory for online) the issue is that physical customers on crazy lines like Lego can purchase it before the online picker grabs it.

              The buffer was correct and working pre covid a lot better but demand and customer habits have changed. Combined with Lego using toll (google toll hacked for the second time) a lot of backup stock has been slow to arrive.

              The cancellations had reduced dramatically but almost like starting again now. And the issue is doesn't matter how many get cancelled if your one of the customers who get cancelled it just plain sucks.

                @NopeNopeNope: Yeah sucks indeed. Seems Myer isn't the only one though. Same thing happened for BigW and David Jones for me.

                So what do they do for the eBay stock? Is that a separate stock pile? Because with Myer they usually hit their eBay store hours after the initial official store release.

                  @shiprekt: Little bit beyond my knowledge. Same pool but the systems may wall off a little stock and reserve it at the start or something like that. I know there can sometimes be delays between data feeds to eBay so it might play out that way.

                      @Dominic: Fingers crossed for you. Being so expensive a lot are usually kept out the back as the security tagging is time consuming and expensive on those ones so they should get picked a touch faster.

        I had a few minor complaints with this set and I know it seems mean to say this given out of stock, but a did see a amazing build that used two kits combined. My googling is letting me down if I find it I will repost the link.

                @popsiee: Sorry I have no idea not what I do in the company. Generally speaking I thought it auto refunds to the method of payment, I would assume with gift cards it would issue a new card.

                I am here commenting on bits and pieces to help people understand (and try and highlight bargains if they don't get noticed) , not a company spokes person, I only tick employee to be transparent.
