Full price only, So not great

Got caught out on this at Christmas.

You can almost always get a better discount through other promos and not you aren’t locked into a gift card.

OP, please add "Can only be used online and not in store".

Yep the T&Cs are important here. "Full priced product only" NB regularly have 40-50% sales so not really a deal.

      • Some items never go on sale, like sporting items though hich these type deals can be used for. Although I think the suncorp cards don't work for cricket items.

  • +5

Note: these cannot be stacked with the New Balance promos. These are redeemed as a promo code and not a eGift code, and the codes cannot be stacked. T&C's even say they cannot be used with other promotions. You're better off waiting for the 40% off promos and using Shopback/Cashrewards.

I tried it last time: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/538526#comment-8731195

    • 0h!

      Well that sucks
      :(

    Doesn’t count towards shipping either

So if free shipping is $90 and you buy a $120 pair of shoes with a $100 gift cards it thinks you’re just buying a $30 item so don’t qualify for free shipping.

The code sucks, it is almost a scam

Agreed. I bought shoes that were $150. Paid $105 for the $150 Suncorp New Balance eGift card, but had to pay $10 shipping. Total out of pocket was $115. If I had used the New Balance 40% off code the shoes would have been $90 + $10 shipping (or buy something for $10 and get free shipping). Wasn't a pleasant experience at all. I won't neg the deal as it's better than no discount right now, but not worthy of a upvote either.

I agree. A poor tactic from New Balance that will just alienate customers who get it wrong. I think if you have a very specific purchase need right now and cannot get free shipping…OK fine. I need to spend exactly $150 so this 30% off helps with that type scenario. These sorts of vouchers where you forfeit the rest of the balance are very scummy.

  • Cheapest way to get Suncorp Member Benefits?

      Suncorp bank account

      • Cheers m8.

  • FYI, GIO member (part of Suncorp) can also use this.

    • and AAMI.

  • Confirmed works with made in US shoes which are usually excluded from the other sales.

  • To Clarify - this is a voucher, not a gift card and cannot be used with discounts which are commonly more than 30%

    Horrible deal. Almost a scam.

  • +1

This is almost false advertising as a gift card. This is a voucher at best

    • Almost? It either is, or isn't

  • Unfortunately this is just another silly gimmick from NB. Would be better off with NB seasonal sale in-store or online.

How come do they sell this as a voucher? It should be functioning as one of the payment's method.

    Sorry, this has lost me.
