      These are fully managed Sydney-based plans. Perhaps you are comparing this to US-based plans?

      The prices seem great to me. VentraIP charges $94 for a 1gb RAM VPS and that excludes a Server 2008 licence and management. Jumba charges $49.50 for a 1gb RAM VPS and that also excludes a Server 2008 licence and management.

      These seem like pretty good deals if you really need a Windows VPS.

      Pricey for a fully managed Australian VPS? Not really — these are really quite cheap with 50% off.

      However these are Virtuozzo VPS, i.e. glorified containers. Not really something I want to run a high traffic production site on (besides I personally can't use Windows).

        Virtuozzo is perfect for a fully managed implementation, so it is fine for "high traffic production sites". Basically all you need to do is upload the website and manage sites through Plesk. Any custom software installation (e.g. .NET related), is handled by us. If you need more control than Virtuozzo offers then an unmanaged VMware/Xen VPS is the way to go, and we can offer both in normal and HA setups. Linux Xen/KVM VPS specials are coming soon, so that may be of interest to you.

    doh just signed up for an aspire one account last month :(

    can highly recommend Net Logistics, they weren't the cheapest but the support is second to none and reliability is right up there. as a relative VPS n00b they even told me what was what and walked me through the simplest of procedures.

    been with them over 4 years now for business and even more for my personal website, never felt the need to switch :)
