    Not bad… the performance of 1st gen i7 740QM is about on par with i5-2520m, although with a TDP of 45 compared to 35w it will run quite a bit hotter.

    I don't know about the 2nd Gen i7's, but the battery life is appauling on 1st Gen i7's.

    Mine has similar specs (except nvidia 330M video card) and the battery life is only about 30min.

    It runs very hot also.

    I'm also not a big fan of the resolution unless you plan to just surf the net etc. I always run out of real estate when I'm developing software.

      1366 x 768 is quite common on 15.6' notebook monitor. it's why i always use the external 24' monitor.

    Good price, Good Video card and good CPU. For that price its a half decent gaming machine.Only thing it lacks is 1000MB LAN USB 3.0/E-SATA.

    Its a entry laptop so its ok

    Not bad for $600 if you need one NOW, but for a replacement it fails
    1.resolution
    2.battery life
    3.no USB3
    4.Never get a HOME version of any windows
    Hey IVI,I have an extarnal SATA drive ;) Hot swap very handy. Does not have to be a portable one either.
