Canon DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras 15% off at JB Hi-Fi (eg Canon M50 W 15-45 Lens Kit $764.15)

70

JB Hifi have an extra 15% of all canon DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras through to the 30th of June.

The Canon M50 was discounted to $899 (from $999) and the 15% off applies to the discounted price (unlike the recent DigiDIRECT deal) bringing this kit to $764.15.

This is the best price for a while with the recent price increases and Australian Dollar.

Also worth noting the 5 year warranty Canon implemented from 25/11/2019 - prices seem to have increased/stabilized since they upgraded their manufacturer warranty on camera bodies and lenses.

  • I bought an EOS 200D MKii last week from JB Hifi, much cheaper than these 'specials'. Paid $775.00 for it.

  • I got M50 last year for $600 from JB.

    • Does it make much noise when you take a photo? I bought a DSLR but I hated how noisy it was and I think the noise was that mirror slapping out of the way when I pulled the shutter. The mirror seemed totally unnecessary to me, I never really understood it. Even in the 90s we had tiny screens in viewfinders, why do we even need a mirror?

      • The M50 is Mirrorless so it can be used in silent shutter mode with no noise.

The M50 has been cheaper previously but not for the last 6 months and all of the prices of canon cameras have steadily increased

        • Sounds promising, silent mode. And what are the pictures like, how is it on full auto mode?

          • @AustriaBargain: This is current canon camera with the Digic 8 processor, 24.1 Mega pixel asp-c sensor and dual pixel auto-focus…. great image quality overall (depending more on the lens) with lots of features of higher end camera bodies, M6 ii and 90d. The build quality is where the corners were cut, so it really depends on your intended use/application.

            • @strut: I just want A3 or even A2 print worthy photos as cheap as possible. Doesn't need to look great or even good, just print worthy. They'll be photoshopped anyway.

  • so i can use my dslr eos lenses on this as they are for c size sensor ?

    • You can use any EF or EF-S lens with the optional canon lens adaptor, however the adaptor is not stocked at JB’s

      • I have the m6 mk2 (also an EF-M) and i bought an adapter for about $40 off ebay and my EF/EF-S lens work. Make sure you get one with an electronic connection otherwise auto focus wont work.

  • highly recommend the canon m6 mk2. Replaced my 7D and not looking back.

    • The M6 Mkii is a great camera, I recently grabbed the 90d which is pretty much the same camera in DSLR form as opposed to the Mirrorless M6 ii. There are much better deals on the M6 mkii that include the Electronic Viewfinder and an extra lens for less than the current JB deal/price, so worthwhile shopping around at the usual stores if anyone is looking M6 ii.
