  The first expensive thing I ever bought for myself after I started working was a 26" tv for $800 in 1983 - so that would be about $2000 2020 dollars - guesstimate. Picture tube went after two years.

    Used to be heaps of 1080p in 32", now they're all 720p junk. My old Dick Smith 32" is the full 1080p.

  Bought this for like $200 in 2016. Still going strong no issues. It's a good dumb TV just chuck in an old Chromecast and a $30 Logitech computer speakers.
