be warned these could be fake

    • Most likely - not available on all styles (including some Kayano, probably the real ones)

  • How are they Allowed to sell fakes?

    • +2

it's not fake per se, but grey import so quality maybe different to what you get at a local store

      • +1

Ahh k like the reject shop

      • Regardless Russlan Kogan is not a good guy, he's just in it for the money, couldn't give a shiite about his customers. So Kogan goods could be fake just watch out.

        • Different from almost any other business how… discuss

Even businesses that are concerned about their customers would mainly be interested in reputation/word of mouth or repeat sales, in order to make more money.

I'm guessing he wouldn't be knowingly selling fake items, the legal costs alone would smoke his profit margin.

Just checked the site and nowhere does he claim to be a NFP org. Just saying

          • @kierann: I'm kind of with @iheartkfc1234 on this one. Kogan is more prepared to do dodgy stuff than other places I bought from, and get caught more often too. Some of the stuff they do is very much in the grey area, in terms of being misleading. It's a pity, because I actually think some of the Kogan branded stuff isn't all that bad. My Kogan toaster is fantastic. Some businesses just don't seem to realise the financial cost of mistrust.

Nevertheless, I ordered a pair of shoes, and time will tell. I made sure to pay with Paypal, so that I can use free return postage if need be, and lodge a claim if things are not what they should be.

          • @kierann: I have bought toothpaste from them, the online picture shows what you see in woolworths but when it arrive its those ones you see in $1 stores. Scam.

I'm guessing he wouldn't be knowingly selling fake items, the legal costs alone would smoke his profit margin.

yeah but if there is more margin, gonna ramp up those sales. Besides whose gonna sue Kogan over something like that. Its more about the chance of being sued vs actually being sued.

Just signed up with Zip Pay and YOU DO NOT GET THE DISCOUNT stated above, the are full RRP and you don't have a chance to see the final total it just goes straight on your Zip Pay. I am trying now to cancel the order which will be the normal Kogan nightmare.

    • +1

It is a nightmare to cancel. I have two orders with the wrong delivery address, orders made 24/6, I asked to cancel on the 24/6 or change the delivery address and theyre saying that they can't. The shipment is literally still processing in the warehouse! They can cancel if they're just being difficult.

Kogan has terrible customer service, their products are grey imports. Some of their listings have incorrect information in regards to sizing & description & have even caught them up on a wrong photo once. Purchase black converse, they were full black including the inside sole in the photo. When received I got the correct shoes however inside sole was cream so got a 50% credit from them.

    • Dude, it's not a discount. You get a credit back from Zippay 14 days later in your zippay account.
Edit - actually it looks like you mean that Kogan is not applying the discount, I guess you have to find the eligble item…

  • ordered the kayanos the other day. will see if they're "fake" or not

    • +1

How to tell if they are fake

The external gel, try peeling it. If it peeks, then its just a sticker and a fake

      • thanks for the tip.

        • this is why i prefer using nikes air max, they can't fake air pockets cause it will just break

    • Any comment for your order?

      • haven't got it yet

      • got the shoes today. felt pretty authentic to me compared to an older pair i had.

        • Thanks a lot
