  This game deserves love, but do note that this game is also incredibly difficult (or maybe I'm becoming more awful at fps)

    It's definitely not you.

    Even amongst old-school twitch shooters from the 1990s Blood was notorious for its difficulty level (especially the expansion packs).
    It is by far the hardest of the Build engine's greatest titles (Duke 3D, Blood and Shadow Warrior) and all of those games make the modern FPS genre look about as difficult as Minecraft.

    Have a look at Civvie's series on the Blood franchise. He plays the game on "Well Done" (one level below the maximum difficulty, "Extra Crispy", which even he found too difficult to complete for the playthrough) and some of those later levels are just friggin' ridiculous with the astronomical enemy counts and hitscan hell weapons, not to mention the amount of insanely-obscure secrets those games featured. Monolith were some sadists back then.

  I remember being on holiday and buying both this game and Shadow Warrior from a game store with my holiday money. Best souvenir I ever bought for myself. Wish I still had the big boxes though.

  How does the compare to BloodGDX?
