SONY BRAVIA 40" Full High Definition LCD TV KDL40CX520

$699 regular price on their site it seems.
It also shows as free delivery when I put in my postcode.. might be worth buying it for $699 delivered from the site if you don't have a vehicle big enough to pick it up for $688 in store.

    • Yes it is. The model description in the catalogue picture confirms it is the KDL40CX520 in your link. Can the title be updated to include model number.

    • yeah it's the same one, so are you saying this is not a bargain? seem very cheap for Sony Bravia though.

What he's saying is please change your title to:

Sony Bravia 40" Full HD LCD TV - DSE $688 instore or $699 delivered online

Along with adding a direct link to the product in your description as has been posted above. Thanks.

For an extra $11 for delivery, why would you even bother to try and pick it up from the store and struggle to get it home? just not worth the hassle.

Price has been updated to $688 on the website: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/GE6616/sony-bravia-40-quot-f… Price also includes free delivery.

  • Good price for this model but is still 50Hz I believe.

  • This is an excellent TV - great price.

  • Just for a different comment, I think the housing itself for this TV looks very nice. Struck me as looking good when I went to the product page.

Put the model number into Google (looking for specs) and came back with this http://www.bigbrownbox.com.au/sony-kdl40cx520-40-inch-cx520-… $689 with free delivery (to 2070 at least) in stock now

  • Damn I bought it for $720, 3 weeks ago…anyway it's a very decent TV

Looks like the model in the link is not one of the ones listed below.
    DSE: Can you please clarify?

    http://techcrunch.com/2011/10/12/over-melting-danger-sony-re…

Following the hack attempts at three of their networks, the company today announced that it will recall a total of 1.6 million BRAVIA LCD TV sets sold in Japan and other regions. The problem is a backlight component inside the TVs that could overheat and make the upper casing melt.

The eight TVs in question were sold after 2007. Here are the model numbers: KDL-40D3400, KDL-40D3500, KDL-40D3550, KDL-40D3660, KDL-40V3000, KDL-40W3000, KDL-40X3000 and KDL-40X3500.

    • Probably doesn't include this model since they are quite old models. I did notice that The Reg article states that the model numbers include those listed above - so it may be worth checking the Sony release directly, and whether the model numbers differ in Australia for the same product.

  • CHEAPER: http://www.myshopping.com.au/PR--386311_Sony_KDL40CX520_Seri…

Would you pay the extra ~270 compared to the cheap aldi hd tv? (i.e. use for predominantly for HD viewing, a bit of gaming) http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/54946

    Cheers!

  • Just to confirm, JB verbally price matched BG's $629 offer.. thinking tho that xmas/new year will have even better prices, prefer a name brand led 100hz..
