Depends if you need S pen or not.
I would say go for Note device. Pen is there incase you need it.
very tempting considering S20+ price $200 more compared to high end 512GB
S20 series is newer with a better chipset.

it doesn't need to touch the screen for it to work, if thats what you mean. phone picks up the pen about 10mm away from the screen
I have this and the only great thing about the s pen is the ability to sign and send off pdf forms on the phone. otherwise the s pen stays in its hole. having said that I prefer the sharper corners on the screen vs the more rounded corners of the s series.
S20+ hardware seems better too…
Ya. I have been pondering for a switch from Note to S series. I only use the S pen to do screenshot and occasionally some doodling or let my son do coloring on my phone. Most people really don't need the S pen.
ive done it (from Note 4 to s7edge) only to return to Note series(rockin' a note9 currently)….im never straying from this path again!
I use the s pen to record my daily report at my job (maritime security). Much better than hauling around a folder to take notes with.
Handy for taking selfies too.
Has been cheaper if you have access to members /edu access sites. Love my Note 10 + Never had a premium phone. Been using it as Dex as alternative to pc. Works well. Also I hold onto phones till the battery starts to be poor.
