Telstra iPhone 4S plans

Moved to Forum: Original Link

I am desperate to get iPhone 4S and tried all around the places to find Telstra offers in comparison to Vodafone and I am surprise to see good deals from Telstra cheaper than last time when they launch iPhone 4 plans.

The offer is not on website yet but have found that plan offer is released. Have a look.

how is that cheaper then voda and Optus cap and infinite plans?

You're desperate to get an iPhone? What is it about these things that cause these kinds of reactions in people?

    • -1

      lack of social life…

      • What is it about these phones that cause such hostile reactions in people? I don't understand the reason that people line up for footy tickets, either, but I don't feel the need to post multiple times in threads about the footy with active dislike.

i've never seen any hostility with people lining up for phones or footy tickets… the only hostility i've seen is during the Myer stocktake sales…

yea man getting iPhone = getting laid

For Telstra this is a good deal, but others have far better deals if you just want the 4S.

    not official prices, just rumours…

    • This was in our staff email. I am guessing the OP is a T staff member as well

Realistically there are NO real bargains for iPhone 4S at this point in time.

    From the Australian:
The iPhone 4S will cost $4, $8 or $13 per month for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models, on a Telstra $59 Freedom Connect Plan. It offers $550 in calls and MMS, unlimited text, and a 1.5 Gigabyte monthly data allowance.

If what Chris Griffith says is fact, why don't they provide any links to Tel$tra's announcement ???

I'll tell you why, it's because they wrote the article based on comments made on Twitter and Facebook, and not because Tel$tra has made any announcement…

Obviously, I'm not related to The Australian and have no comment about how they verified their report. However, in the past half hour, Telstra have added their business plans to the website so they must be releasing their plans today.

about how they verified their report.

if they did verify it, they would have said so… read between the lines of the story…

How many times must the mods ask people to report rather than neg if you think it belongs in the forums, srsly!

I'd rather wait for a deal with telstra 4g personally

Mods don't always agree that posts should be removed…

-ve voting makes them disappear… :)

Unlike other sites, voting is a form of self moderation… works much better here than on Whingepool…

    • Telstra's 4G is a pure data network for the moment.
alright for an ipad, but with an iPhone you'll need a voip client.

    • +2

Exactly, now that this has been moved to forums, the negative votes are removed and the redunant comments of "move to forum" need to be individually removed as well. Just hit the report button. Use the negative votes to assess deals and NOT OzBargain guidelines.

Use the negative votes to assess deals and NOT OzBargain guidelines.

the two are not always mutually exclusive…

if these prices are true then it's a real bargain on the telstra network. Rather pay more for telstra than voda with a non existence network coverage.

    • -1

depends on how effective voda's current rollout will be…

  • Anyone got any word on Virgin plan pricing for the 4S yet?

    • I am waiting for the announcement too
Going to switch from 3 to Virgin… sick of all the drop outs during phone calls

      • Going from Vodafail to Craptus…. I don't know if that's an improvement.

        • Then which service provider do you recommend? =)

      • I'm currently on Virgin prepaid. Too much of the time I can't get data on a decent 3g signal, and there are other times where the network is overloaded and I don't receive incoming calls and messages (but because I have reception incoming calls don't go through to my voicemail).

That said, at least Virgin has decent contract termination conditions.

    • The price is out http://www.virginmobile.com.au/iphone-plans/

      $59+$10 (Total: $1656 24 months)

      $59+$15 (Total: $1776 24 months)
      $89+$3 (Total: $2208 24 months)
