I was enjoying this book until he references a satirical scientific study in all seriousness on page 18 to argue that prayer or beliefs can impact the past. After 2 minutes of googling I fact checked and the entire study was satire.

How am I supposed to trust an author who uses bogus studies and who’s editors don’t fact-check him before his works are published? How am I supposed to finish this book when I’ve now discovered this glaring error in obvious fake science and flawed methodology?

    "chiropractor "
    "quantum physics"
"One of the scientists, researchers, and teachers featured in the award-winning film What the BLEEP Do We Know!?"

Not worth your time, let alone your money. It's new age horseshit with a veneer of science to make it palatable for the 21st century.

    • But Joe's a Doctor

  • can anyone recommend some books for self motivation ?

The Power of Now by Echkart Tolle is one of the best books I have read …

Inner Engineering - Yogi's guide to Joy by Sadhguru is good too but a bit complex to understand.

      • If I'm remembering correctly 'the power of now' was the book that lost me in one of the first few chapters when it claimed that plants flowering was an expression of consciousness or some crud along those lines 😄 maybe it gets better?

If you like people being raw, look into david goggins. The first man to be a navy seal + ranger. Check him out on YouTube. I find myself going back to his story every now and again for inspiration.

For self-motivation you can't go wrong with the classic "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Many years ago I enjoyed a condensed audio book version on a shiny golden cassette tape, narrated by Earl Nightingale, and recently discovered you can listen to it on YouTube these days for free.

    • Thanks guys for all the inputs

  • Thanks OP.
Tough cried here and people really missing the point. The author shows us how we can change our thoughts so that we free our selves from being stuck, or in a downward spiral where our negative thoughts perpetuate a state of physical trauma no different to real physical trauma.
It's also profound he used his techniques on himself and healed himself from stage 4 cancer, defying current medical understanding.
