Where? Staticice is only showing KF to be cheaper. $799 seems to be average/cheapest.
Just a question, why no heatsink? Is that just an Intel thing?
K series, they expect you to bring along your own much better cooling.
The stock intel heatsink is barely adequate for their low end CPUs.
Wouldn't have a chance of keeping a behemoth like this cool, especially once you start overclocking.

True regarding the cheaper ones, except one. But all the 9900k's are $799
What's the use of this over the $650 10700k? Also $800 is the standard price elsewhere.
The only benefit I can see is to someone that already has a 9th gen motherboard with an i5 or similar, to upgrade without having to buy a new motherboard.
That could be the case, if this was at the same price point as 10700k. Seriously, if I was to pay $800 for this, I'd much rather pay $900 for a 10700k + Z490 board, and sell the old z390 combo for $300+ easily.
I think I'm going to have to go this route since I'm stuck with an old motherboard.
Do these make good space heaters?
