Do yourself a favor & purchase Tenda MW3 or MW6.

      ya mean … avoid kogan

Nah run away as far as you can from wifi range extenders.

        • If it's 3x3 it at least has a chance of backhauling over wireless. 2x2 is only useful for a single extension (per direction).

          Assuming your internet/NBN is 100-250mbit+

        • then what should one get?

          • @ciyborg: Provide more details about your current setup and residence.

            • @Lukian: Just an nbn 100 network. With 1 router and about 250 sqm of single floor property to cover.

            • @Lukian: @Lukian I have NBN 100mbps with a modem at one end of the house and a computer on the other end of the house. House is single story and overall 622 m² land size. Would you recommend a WiFi Range extender or one of these Tenda MW3 mesh's? If so, 2 or 3?

            • @Lukian: I’ve NBN 100, and a single router. Double story house. 700 sqm Router is downstairs. I am upstairs. I’ve no idea about range extenders or “mesh” all i know is the internet signal and speed is ****. Would love any kind of guidance.

Also something where they maybe have zip pay, final week for $50 back and don’t have anything to buy.

              TIA

        • My $8 Xiaomi extender is doing the job. I do wonder about its security though…

@Tihocan: CCP thanks you for your personal information.

Get a mesh system instead…was the best thing I did for my home.

  • Does anyone know whether this will work to extend an open wifi network - i.e. one that is not password-protected? No indication in the instructions.

I need to extend an open network (from a common area in shared accommodation). I bought a Xiaomi extender only to find that it won't work unless you enter a password.

I love how it called N300 "AC" Wi-Fi Range Extender

  • It seems to be back to the full price.
