First post so hopefully I'll get this right.

This deal is back https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/543454 but cheaper. Works out to approx $38.44/TB.

Seagate 16TB HDD Exos X16 7200 RPM 512e/4Kn SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5-Inch Enterprise Hard Drive (ST16000NM001G) ships and sold by Amazon US via Amazon AU. Delivery is free on Prime.

Price in title is correct as of writing but keeps changing slightly, eg. I got it for $615.48 rather than $614.87.

Also, don't forget cashbacks.

Please note, these HDDs are loud when the spindle winds up, other than that they are a great drive for domestic office use.

  • FYI. I can vouch for the comment above about these being noisy. I bought two. One died, but got replaced under warranty - even if bought from a US seller.

Price: $794.99 & FREE Delivery at least for me

    • Same here. 10TB version looks pretty resistible at $1,030.89 too. Would not recommend that one.

That's the price when it's shipped and sold by a third party seller, in this case "Premier Deals Online", rather than the seller being "Amazon US".

The listing will default to a third party seller when Amazon US is no longer able to sell the product, eg. because there is no more stock left.

Should I stick to the Barracuda Pro in my desktop for gaming?

    • Yes, don't need this enterprise grade for gaming. Or preferably get an SSD.

  • And it's gone.

  • It's available again for $616

Looks like it's $610.70 now with stocks arriving July 14th (but they are accepting orders now)

I've removed the expire note but not sure how long this will last.

  • Mine just arrived from an earlier deal. Unfortunately it's immediately being sold on to a friend, as it's too noisy for my literally-right-next-to-the-couch NAS :(

The rotation noise isn't bad, it's just the tapping noises every 30 seconds that drive me mad.

  • I’m getting $794.99
