Ultra Football Sent Different Product to What I Ordered. Saying The Pics Could Be Different Due to Lighting and Shadow

Ordered Nike Track Jacket from Ultra Football and received a different color. I contacted Ultra Football and was told that it is the correct product sent and the picture shown in the advertisement on website could be different from actual product due to lighting and shadow.
I then googled and found out that both the shown product in advertisement and the product sent were available as 2 different products by different sellers with relevant matching vdescription.
I raised it with Ultra Football sending pics but they didn't reply.

    Good story

    • Yes. Is there enough time for OP to tell it again? It's so interesting

    And?

  • If the colours are so close that 'lighting' is a valid excuse then I'm not sure I'd care.
Otherwise, they're wrong, you know it and they know it.

  • Is there any way I can upload photos here?

yeah man show us some pictures, I'm invested now to see where this going.

  • Thanks.

    • That doesn't look like the one you received. Please take a real life image of the one that was delivered.

  • And this is what was advertised on Ultra Football website and I ordered:

Well the one you ordered is Black/White and the one you were sent is Black/Grey on other sites. What colour does it say on the order receipt?

      • It did not say what color it was. Check the link below of ozbargain deal posted and I bought:

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/546334

        • Well based on the picture you could argue it is a significantly different colour compared to the picture shown on the receipt.

It surely says the colour on the order form somewhere.

To be honest, personally, the grey one looks far better anyway and less like a slavic tracksuit.

Edit: Their returns policy clearly states they'll cover charges if colour doesn't match. Give them a call tomorrow to sort it out else follow advice below.

What if the colour of my item doesn’t match that of what I purchased?
Ultra Football will cover the re-delivery charges if the colour item you received is not what you initially purchased. As customers can appreciate however, colours shown on an internet exchange may not be an exact match to the physical goods, therefore the colour shown is for illustrative purposes only.

  • And these are the pics of product I found out on other websites that it is actually available in black and white:

Well, it would appear you have received the wrong item, keep pushing and if they refuse do a credit card/PayPal chargeback.

      • I hoped that they will accept the error made on their part and will send me the correct product but they said it is definitely the same product shown online!

And when I asked how are they the same product they said It may just been the lighting or angles on the screen possibly!

When I sent them all the pics with correct product description available online by other retailers, they never replied me back!

Again, if they won’t respond your best options are:

        • +3

Looks more smoke and mirrors on their part than lighting and shadow. Contact them again and demand that you want it replaced for what you ordered or else a refund.
If you don’t hear from them within three days, do a chargeback and tell them to send a courier to collect the jacket or send you a pre-paid satchel/envelope and you’ll post it back to them.

Make a point of saying how in the photo of the jersey you ordered, the logos, which are white, are the same colour as the white on the sleeve, thus the lighting has no impact. Also quote and link ACCC, specifically where it defines a major fault as "significantly different from the sample or description". You may also choose to escalate the issue. I've had to do the last two options when requesting a replacement pair of shoes for ones that were defective

    • ThatKiwiFella very smart! Thanks.

      • You're welcome. Different style of zipper too

  • Does it give an item code on the label?

    • Yes, it does give item code on the ticket/label attached to the product which is same as SKU code mentioned on Ultra Football website advertisement.

  • Can't be lighting. The one on your order has the highlight colour (white) on the inside neck. You have black.

    • Exactly, but Ultra Football thinks they can give any bull crap to customers and get away with it!
