Omg tempted but at this price I will take galaxy note 10+ second hand.

    • I wish it was International version

    • +1

I'd pay an extra $100 and get the 10+ new.

      • of course if just $100 i take new but i think new and 2nd hand price should be like $300-400 or above differences?

        • Your comment above was comparing the price of this OnePlus 8 Pro to a 2nd hand Note 10+. The Note 10+ below is $100 more.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ N9750 12GB/256GB Dual Sim - Aura Glow
          AU$1,169.00
          https://www.tobydealsau.com/en_AU/product/samsung-galaxy-not…

          • @Travis J: oh i see.
but i think i'll wait till note 20 announcement/release and try get a bargain second hand note 10+ hopefully around $700-800

  • Hi guys, what is the difference between CN and international version. This seems like a deal!

    • No LTE band 28 which is roughly 22% coverage in rural areas. If you don’t have it then no 4G.

    • +4

There are 4 models IN2020(CN), IN2021(IN), IN2023(EU), IN2025(North America). IN2023 is the best for coverage anywhere in the world except America so it’s the one you wanna get but can’t find it cheaper anywhere. Kogan and dicksmith is selling for roughly $1400

      • Do you know if https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/550003 is any of the four - IN2020(CN), IN2021(IN), IN2023(EU), IN2025(North America)?

Considering to go with this instead.

        • There are only 2 variants for oneplus 6T A6010(CN) and A6013(Global). Dicksmith is selling global variant so you are good to go. Purchase that one should be fine. Cheers

      • What is the difference between IN2013 and IN2020? Will there be an issue using it here in Australia?

What about CN Ver. with flashed OS?

        • Only difference is IN2020 which is chinese version with flashed OS is missing Band 28. This could be crucial depending on your location ~22% coverage(Telstra+Optus) in rural Australia is B28. So pick your poison. IN2023 has everything to work on all NW’s but can’t find less than $1400

        • You probably won’t have any problem using IN2020 in metro areas

          • @mkbsd: Thanks for that.

Stumble upon this - https://www.tecobuy.com/en_AU/oneplus-8-in2020-5g-8gb-128gb-… selling the OP8 for under AUD$800. Any thoughts about getting from them? Have not heard heard of Tecobuy before until now.

@fungorilla: Don't know about them but I have bought couple of phone from BuyBuyBox and no issues.
              oneplus 8: http://buybuybox.com/product.php?id=50819
              oneplus 8 pro: http://buybuybox.com/product.php?id=50824
Both are Chinese versions. Missing Band 28

              • @mkbsd: Thanks for sharing! That means I will not get 4G in rural Oz, but if 3G still works then it should still be alright.

How long does it normally take to arrive?

                • +1

@fungorilla: yeah 3G will work fine. I ordered oneplus 5 and 7 pro from them and both took roughly one week from Hong Kong

                  • @mkbsd: Hey there, how about this? Is this still usable in Australia? https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/oneplus-7t-pro-8gb-ram-256gb-ha… Looks like a good deal.

                    • @fungorilla: Good choice but I think if you spending more than 1000 wait for a good 8 pro deal. Oneplus Nord is launching tomorrow so wait a bit

                      • @mkbsd: I was actually mean to post this -https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/oneplus-7t-8gb-ram-256gb-glacier-blue-global-model-oneplus-global-rom/

Got it for $650, and I think it fits my budget. What does global ROM mean? And is this in2023 or in2021?

                        • @fungorilla: This is a chinese version it comes with hydrogen OS(no google services) so what they do is to take it out of box flash oxygen OS(global), repack and send it to you. This is a very common practice for most of these resellers. Physically and component wise there is no difference in 7T’s. Just the software so model numbers doesn’t matter much.

                          • @mkbsd: Oh I didn't realise that!

So do you mean that it should still come with oxygen OS, and should also run Google services or is there anything I need to do?

  • Just a note that the CN version does not have the required 5G band for AU.

  • Probs best option considering this phone will be to go with x2pro jbhifi deal and cancel.

Works out to be $1189 (390 term fee with Telstra) then maybe use discounted jbhifi card for the 799 outright price.

I know it doesn't have wireless charging etc though comes with Aussie warranty and bands needed for Australia networks.

Plus the orange looks sxc haha

    • This is still available?

Seems like a much better deal here for the Samsung 20+

best to avoid this company. No customer service presence if anything goes wrong (and they do) and you're short 700 bucks for over a month until PayPal gets your money back

    Avoid this company and brand

  • Was a bit iffy, but have just placed an order with Toby, knowing I can go to PayPal if it all goes sour and get my money back.

Will update my post as order progresses.

Different phone, but just posting this as reference for people (Huawei P30 lite New Edition 6GB/256GB Dual Sim - Breathing Crystal).

    Ordered today (9th July).

  • Is GST payable on import? will this end up being 1056*1.1=$1,161?
