due to other mainstream online stockists selling it at almost $200 more

clearly you didn't read my description haha

Just trying to help people out with a bargain.

So much easier to just sit back and leech of everybody else posting, i have no issue with it being deleted.

@TMich: dont worry about that guy… he's the resident class clown.

No one is going to know everything about a brand posted. If you were to hold people to that high bar nothing would get posted.

Its a cheap chinese spec TV. what is there to know?

Read the spec sheet, see if there's online reviews, take a punt… if you dont, move on.

I bought two TVs based on nothing… that old Linsar and the Thomson.

What this deal has going for it is the fact its backed by Harris.

"…ELITELUX collaborates with ExpressLUCK Technology Ltd…."

Express lux is in Shenzhen from sounds of it, manufactured there..
their TVs they produce have CHOT panels which are made by Xianyang Caihong Optoelectronics Technology.
Sharp has apparently filed a lawsuit against CHOT for infringing 12 patents..
so yeah, i would not be buying anything from ELITELUX, supporting the usual Chinese intellectual theft..

  • it's $549 on amazon and does not seem to have good reviews. think i'd rather pay the extra for a reputable brand

Every TV should have a 2 year warranty covered by Aus Consumer Law - that ain't a feature

  • It’s only 8bit panel

    • +2

      OK, I'll byte.

      • They say 8 bits, don’t make a byte… oh wait
