So they can keep an eye on your watching habits?
great
Tell me you are not a cooker by bringing attention to yourself.
It’s ok, it runs Google TV - so private sector is already spying on you and hoovering your data anyway.
Just don't connect the TV after setting up.
You mean, like every other multinational corporation? 🤯
Still $949.99 delivered for those couldn't get free delivery from AC, but have access to Costco.
https://www.costco.com.au/Electronics/TVs-Projectors/TVs/TCL…I personally found Samsung Qled is still better than this in terms of interface and picture quality. Not sure if it is just me or is that expected given Samsung is superior brand?
You have both? Or just basing it from the display in store?
I have both.. 55 inch
At what pricepoint though. The top end TCL mini leds are stupid good, period, never mind for their comparative prices which is also excellent.
@Ademos: If you wait around, aren't both of these at same price point. Haven't seen Samsung Qled deal for a while but I bought them in similar price range only.
I do agree that these tcl good value for spare room tv but Qled Samsung is still better.
Unless someone disagree.
Technically mini-led technology is meant to be better than qled@bin555: Going by your negative votes, several people disagree. Mini LED is a technological advancement, not regression. QLED will never be "better" than Mini LED.
@bin555: As of last year/generation, the TCL is the better buy. The 855 offered absolutely outrageous quality, motion, color, brightness for it's price. The new gen's only an improvement.
All brands become a different equation at the more budget end. I'm not sure about TCL vs Samsung as the lower end. But at their respective tops, it's an easy choice for the $ at the moment.

Google AI answered my question :)
Yes, QD-Mini LED is generally considered better than QLED because it offers significantly improved contrast and deeper blacks thanks to its smaller, more precisely controlled mini-LED backlight, while still retaining the vibrant colors provided by the quantum dot (QD) technology found in QLED displays; making it a better choice for viewing in dark environments or when high dynamic range (HDR) content is being watched.
"That's on the C755 55" so you probably bought that model, not this C6K. Major difference is the c6k uses a HVA panel so blacks should be better than the c755 but apparently colours are more accurate also.
There is no way where QLED can ever look better than Mini LED. Mini LED has more dimmable zones and a better local dimming algorithm. You are probably basing this off Samsung's oversaturated colours. As for the interface, Tizen OS is absolute garbage.
How come no 98 inch deals? All smaller
Tough buy considering the 65" C7K was selling for $999 @ Costco yesterday.
Is this the same model as the one in Good Guys for $955? If it is, I might try and use my $40 voucher.
Not really a great deal
Begore you buy check dimming zones for C6K and C7K vs C8K i found big difference from C6K to C7K.
Yeah, local dimming and peak brightness is significantly better as you step up a model.
What about C7K vs C8K?
C8K is much better. We got it an it’s awesome!
Got a Sony 65'' X90L refurb from Sony Ebay which looked like new for around $725 last month. It's a much better TV than this one in my opinion.
Do you own both? Because I find that very surprising.
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x90l-x90cl
The X90L is FALD, has very few local dimming zones resulting in poor contrast and black uniformity. Grey uniformity along with reflection handling is also subpar.
Yes. For 90% of the use cases, like watching streaming services, sports, Youtube etc…, the Sony is so much better. There are many highly rated reviewers out there who also agree. Sony processing, and large screen like the 65 inch produces excellent images and the best bang for your bucks.
Not sure why you're getting downvoted here. I do would have an 'lower spec' Sony over a TCL any day, particularly for watching sports. Not sure these people have viewed the images side by side
Image processing is almost more important than all of those things combined. And Sony is best-in-class. TCL.. not so much
Will be giving them away soon
