Can’t wait till the doors open that morning. Is it a stampeed or a stampood?

    • +1

they dont allow more than certain number of people now into the store + limits on purchases

      • +1

That means a wonderful time lining up outside the store with other hoarder fellas!

    • +2

The toilet paper madness is now finished, isn't it? Or is ALDI trying to bring it back again?

      • +5

The madness has ROLled back out over the past week, many supermarkets with low shelf stock.

        • Woolies Melbourne QV had so much it was piled 2 rows deep into the walking aisles. I don't think there would be that many smug hoarders from practice round 1 who is coming back for practice round 2.

      • +2

Melb's got another run on the TP

        • +2

Plenty of stock during my shop tonight

        • +1

Plenty at both shops I was in today

        • North Melbourne Coles had a bit of a run out. But Melbourne CBD supermarkets are well stocks (Woolies & Coles large stores)

      • They are trying to make a Free News Headline !

  • +2

I’ll wait for Amazon to price match or beat.

    • It's 45 roll S&S @ $18 right now..so you don't really have to wait. Mine arrived today

      • That deal is out of stock since yesterday, but was available for a while. Hopefully comes back in stock shortly.

    • +3

yep why wait for the hoards of people to then pack your own bags etc,

get it delivered no fuss to your doorstep

      gg Amazon

    • +1

Back in stock on Amazon, if you wanted to save a trip to ALDI.

  • +12

    • +2

@netjock: Add 10% off with 10UNLIMITED code if you have Delivery Unlimited.

            • +2

@netjock: this needs to be made into a bad uno game

              • @Stopback: The banks won't let you. If people knew simple life changing math like this, the banks will be making a lot less money.

      • Buy discounted WISH gift cards for 5% off. Works out to be $13.30, saving 69c from Aldi’s deal

        • Buy the wish card using an amex edge card with 3x points per dollar and it is another 2% off

        • +2

Math is probably too hard for most people.

TP hoarding is just a break down in simple multiplication of: rolls used per week x 6 weeks.

If people knew simple math we wouldn't be eyeballs deep in debt and people basically living in over priced cardboard box homes (affluent homeless).

      • saving per sheet pls?

  • +5

Woolies is 14 at the moment..
    So is Costco.
Having said that my 90 rolls arrived today also from Amazon.

calling out all my Mel guys

  • Why is it always this brand of toilet paper that people are fighting over for. Whatever happened to Sorbent and Kleenex?

    • I just get the cheapest one at Aldi. My arse doesn't know any different.

    • I feel the Kleenex ones are much nicer.

      • +11

Kleenex would be my last resort. So easy to tear and paper dust everywhere.

        • +3

Couldn't agree more, it's the worst.

      • Yeah nicer when finger slides in right in that hole? Right? Or you talking about the horrible quality?

    • +3

The paper dust that stick on your bxtxhxlx is so annoying

    • +5

      Sorbent and Kleenex

they decided to capitalise on branding and legacy reputation to substitute worse product at premium price.

At the North Rocks NSW aldi, they have pallets of Duve (?) brand toilet paper packs, for $4.99 a pack, they’ve been reduced. This brand used to be at Big W and the rolls are smaller than usual.
It Seems like there is an over supply there now.

    • Someone had opened a packet at my ALDI so I went to feel it. It was so thin and cheap.

      No wonder it's not selling.

    • For a moment I thought your comment said $4.99 a pallet.

  • +1

    $14 at woollies now

  • +1

A whole cent less than I paid at Coles a few weeks ago. I guess that's the price of living in an Aldi-free Tassie.

    • there goes my 2 cents …

  • Same price at Costco

  • You just wipe your freckle with it. That's all.

  • A 24 pack at aldi is $8 anyway, don't see why people are losing their sh1t..

    OP's username checks out

  • Lols heaps at woolies

Toilet paper sold out everywhere, this is gonna be a circus.

    • Plenty of toilet paper everywhere around me in Sydney.

      • and in Adelaide.

    • Why do people even post this obviously false crap? There's heaps here in Melbourne.

  • Isn't this the regular price? it is not a bargain? Costco got this at the same price.

    • +2

that because this isn't OzBargain anymore, it's OzRegularPrice or OzTinyDiscountEqualsBargain.

      • shout out to all the Amazon posts

  • What's the limit for us germ Covid vics?

  • Riot squad ready

  • Someone tag Amazon the price gouging unaustralian…

  • same price at my local IGA this week.

  • $0.22 / 100 sheets is the 'normal' Colesworth "Special" price.

This week (until Wednesday) Coles have Sorbent 12 packs on special at this price.
