if you look carefully there is no house, they are homeless, happy but homeless. That what you see in the background is the mountain they must climb.

How many of these reports would I have to download to construct a suitable papier mache dwelling? (asking for a friend)

    Prices are down down down.

No China to prop up the market.

    • it seems hongkongers are going to bombard on us now.

especially with the new visa resident rule in place.

      • You think 3m HK'ers will all come here?

        • hopefully not… I reckon they prefer the poms over ozz…

having said that, even just 5% - 10% come to ozz that would have enough to bring us trouble…

look at what they've done with their own home…

          • @thomalfa: Have you looked into detail where the money comes from?

    Charts.. Yay.

    You can browse without registering.

Imho these charts are not useful. They are charts for the sake of charts. Unless you're a bank and can't feasibly investigate property at an individual level, or you're investing in housing indirectly via shares, this thing may as well be a kids project that someone is hoping they can sell.

It's not badly put together or anything, in fact it's nicely presented. It's just that, for most people, charts are a passing curiosity at best. Most users only want to know the trend in a suburb (which personally I would argue is useless, but anyway..) which is already available free on realestate websites.

    • Thanks for your feedback! Indeed the trend in a suburb is only a small portion of the home buying decision process, there are many other information home buyers need to know on an individual level such as nearby sold properties and how the property you'd like to buy vs those recent sold ones and imho these ones are more important. As a start-up and positioned to serve home buyers, HomeOn is trying to provide free but independent data insights including a peripheral transaction analysis centered on each house, a AI enabled house price calculator, latest local auction trends, and we don't withhold prices like many agents or property portals do. Hope you can find these differences if you try some of these features that is available from homeon.com.au, no registration required!

  • Any other state or city?

For anyone curious, I would say this report is for home buyers like myself, for instance unlike most of the other reports merely shows a very general median price guide, this report actually tells the median price of a 4 beds house and how it compares with the other property types like 3 beds or 5 beds on a suburb level and I think that is useful for me, highly recommended!

It is a bit difficult to summarise those information from other resources like CoreLogic. So this guide is helpful to find suburb information in one single place. The suggestion will be if you can more further information of some of the hottest suburbs.

    • thanks for your feedback! actually you can search any Sydney suburb's information from homeon.com.au directly. Just enter a residential address in that suburb and press enter!
