    The humbler is nice but all bags I ordered were roasted over a week to 10 days before they were shipped . Which is longer than I would expect at these prices .

        Hang on, isn't it good for fresh roasted coffee to sit for at least 7 days before consumption so as the natural oils in the coffee have time to enhance the bean?

        So if it was 10 days from roasting then that's not gonna be a deal breaker surely?

        I get my beans(he says sheepishly) from another supplier(2 actually) who do deals here on OzB and 5-7-8 days is the minimum usual timeframe for delivery after roasting, you do not want to be using beans roasted a few days ago.
        Then it takes me a bit under a month to use them up at a rate of 2 cups a day.

        They always taste fine.

          Hey Luc,

          It's a fair comment! I definitely agree that coffee used for espresso should wait for 7~ days prior to use. The myth that fresh coffee is best just won't go away. Having said that, filter coffee is usually best drunk ASAP.

          However, what I've discovered is that many folks on OzBargain buy their coffee in advance of actually needing it and do factor in this waiting time.

            @directcoffee: Yes. I was actually just giving you a bit of support by mentioning the 7 day wait before you use factor.
            My 1kg is sent at the beginning of each month and it has its roast date on it and nearly always 5 to 7 days prior to my del date.
            6 cups of coffee later it's 8 to 10 days since roasting.

            So the guy above not being happy with

            " bags I ordered were roasted over a week to 10 days before they were shipped" shouldn't worry too much, his beans will be fine(seriously). :)

          Some of us freeze beans, and would prefer to freeze them earlier than 10 days.

    Didn't realise you have the Cartel stuff - haven't bought any in a couple of years, but it was always delicious. Would be keen if that was ever part of your sale!

    But for now, deciding between Angel Wings or Ghost Rider…

      Hey there! Local delivery is all handled by Sendle. We've removed the dedicated Sendle option and instead you'll get the local delivery/Sendle option if your postcode is eligible. Metro Sydney is part of this :)

    Purchased Axil Vader Blend and received it in 2 days after roast date (shipped to Sydney). Highly recommend this blend, probably one of the smoothest and best tasting beans I have purchased so far. Also, appreciate the top notch service and responsiveness from Tim.
