Can you throw a full bag of these in the freezer? Cautious that 2KG might be a bit much, might look at freezing 1KG. Any advice?

I have been freezing the unopened bags with no apparent issues. Coffee still tastes freshly roasted after defrosting, just make sure it's has time to come to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation.

      • Thanks 😁 good advice

      • I would probably average one bag per month.

Would the quality be better by freezing three of the bags and taking one out each month or would the bags still be good quality if left at room temperature for a few months?

After defrosting, would the bag be ok out of the fridge for a month?

definitely freeze the 3 remaining bags, and take one out the night before you need to open a new one.
I would not be leaving bags out for months.

I freeze the beans from Manna Beans all the time. I am the only person who drinks coffee in my household so it's best way to keep it fresher for longer.

I freeze the unopened bags then open one and remove a few days worth of beans and reseal the bag, squeeze out the air and put that one back in the freezer so I am only removing from freezer a couple of times between start to finish of that bag.

I use some of my many spare manna beans zip lock bags to split the beans into 250g portions for freezing. Haven't noticed any significant deterioration in the coffee, and it's better than not freezing it for the time it takes me to use them

      • I sometimes freeze beans. I divide them up into 250gm batches and put them into ziplock bags. I then put those bags into an airtight container and into the freezer.

If I need any beans, I remove one of the bags from the container and allow them to sit for at least a few hours on the benchtop, and wipe the bag open to ensure they aren't affected by condensation.

I normally only roast about a week's worth a time, but if I'm away for work I'll do a batch for my wife and that sometimes means freezing after degassing.

  • Reminded me to order some more Decaf. If anyone is looking for a great Decaf I highly recommend the Decaf Domination from Manna Beans.

Makes a wicked cold brew for some iced coffees and perfect for enjoying later in the day when you don't want that caffeine hit.

    • Thansk for the feedback and great to hear that you are enjoying the coffee!

      • Any chance you could do a deal on the decaf?

  • Hi Op, is it possible to change the lucky dip to magical Unicorn? And if there’s any deal for 1 or 2 kg of magical unicorn?

Many thanks, just want to say we love your coffee :)

    • Man I wish I could swap you my magical unicorn for your lucky dip, not a fan.

I still buy these packs because they're awesome value and mostly incredible coffee, but I'd easily pay a bit more for one without the magical unicorn/catnicorn packs.

      • @dekekun Please see comment below 😁 We always try to assist changes if possible if notes are left in Paypal. Can't promise all changes but usually no proble, especially if just changing between same coffees that are listed in the deal!

You can use the send funds feature in Paypal which enables notes to be left for the packing team!

        • Oh awesome thanks, will definitely do that!

    • @Greywhite Thanks heaps and sure thing! Please use the send funds feature in Paypal and send to [email protected] This will allow you to leave notes in Paypal with you request so that the packing team see!😁

      • Not sure if I did it correctly but I sent funds through Paypal rather than ordering through your shop front in order to add a note. Copy and pasted this deal's details into the note along with a request to swap the lucky dip.

  • The Brazil Adalgisa Vilela last deal i got was superb as a milk coffee. One of the best beans I have had.

    • Great to hear! This is a new relationship coffee that we recently got working with new farmers. Fantastic crop!

      • I've still got plenty coffee for now…. but fingers cross you include it in a deal again in the future :D

  • Where do the beans come from?

My last order got to me within 3 days which was nice. I'm south-east Melbourne.

      • Great! - Hopefully these come by Friday as my current beans are vanishing quickly

Made an order with a note to swap out lucky dip for another Jamocha. Have not tried this brand before I hope they are as good as the reviews!

Received my order in two working days. Great coffee and fast delivery. My lucky dip was Fortitude, looking forward to trying something different.

  • Purchased these for the first time. Have used Dukes, Inglewood and Five Senses so far but they seem too pricy… Hope this coffee is good :)
