Best Short Term Phone with NFC?

Well shit, my phone screen cracked beyond usable

It's a pixel 3xl and the camera is still working great but I need a daily driver to last me until ideally the new year.

Realistically All I need is a phone with NFC and Google pay. Anyone have a sugestion
on the cheapest buy right now ?

Here are my suggestions ; samsung a20 and realme c3.

  • Worth mentioning I'm with Telstra if that makes network swaps easier

Have you explored getting the screen repaired?

    • One vendor mail-in for all of Australia AFAIK

Guessing it’ll be more than 150 AUD which makes a new device appealing
Would love to be corrected here

Edit - Just sold out as I posted it here. Still this phone has a lot of features for the price.

get something used. you can probably get a samsung s7 or iphone 6s for $100

These cheap phones are not on Telstra, but maybe you can find unlock codes:

Optus X Wave for $100 (but I think it was $90 before): https://www.amazon.com.au/Optus-Wave-Mobile-Phone-Dark/dp/B0…

    Vodafone locked Nokia 3 for $110: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-NOKIA-3-4G-16GB-2GB-RAM-HD-A…

    • Thanks looks like its $80 to unlock from Optus if you have no intention of using their plan.

      So that’s $180 / $190 for those phones

    Update to this thread.
I picked up a $297 Oppo A52 unlocked from officeworks which is plenty good.
I could get it immediately from the local shop and after setting it up, works great with NFC etc.

bezels are smaller than my pixel 3xl and it feels weird to have a headphone jack again!

going to miss squeeze for assistant and that camera however.

end of year my contract is up so will look at what's the best then. this is the perfect device for that last 6 months
