        Filler Episodes: 143-219

Wow…I can't believe younger me sat through all that…

Some of the original naruto fillers were decent because the plot was fairly coherent. The shippuden filler was unbearable especially as the series became wackier.

I'll share this here, but there is a fan edit of Naruto called 'Naruto Kai' in much the same vein of Dragon Ball Kai.

It removes most of the filler and is actually cut so that you don't need to manually skip episodes/parts.

I won't share links on how to get it but it's not hard to find it via google (and reddit).

(I've personally been watching it recently and Shippuden starts at Kai episode 30)

Just sharing it because if you care about filler, you're not watching just the episodes from this post.

        • Interesting so fan based version skips fillers and still gives you decent story and it actually follows?

          • @neonlight: Naruto kai has a bit of the filler but its the good type of filler (eg character development and not useless side missions). But i still maintain that some of the original series filler was good, the last stretch of filler wasnt (from memory)

        • Need something like this for One Piece.

          • @ToastySteve: there's one pace but it's incomplete and quiet a mess

Oh man. About 15 years ago i first watched the Naruto series and it was the first time i had actually watched an anime (Japanese with subtitles). I remember watching the Chuunin exams episodes while i was trying to study for VCE and couldn't believe there'd be a cartoon with plots so interesting and complex.

I only got up to the episode about how Sasuke's backstory about why he hated Itachi. Back then i think the episodes were released about once a week and i hated getting excited and waiting. So i told myself that i would wait until the entire series was completed and then i could enjoy binge watching it properly after my VCE. I had no idea that the series would take about 15 years to complete.

About 4 months ago - i finally decided i would watch the whole thing during the COVID19 pandemic.

It took about 2.5 months of constantly watching 3-5 episodes a day after work and almost morning-night on the weekends (I did not realise there was a 'filler' list until halfway through 'Shippuden'). After the last episode, it literally felt like i had completed my final exams during school and so much time was invested in this that i had no idea what to do with my life afterwards.

I'm not going to start watching Boruto though as i heard it wasn't as good as Naruto.

Just wanted to share my experience :) I Watched it for free on Crunchyroll (i had like $8 for 3 months for no ads)
