@MikeKulls: Maybe people like yourself don't enjoy finding out their opinions aren't held by everyone?

Whats your personal vice? What do you enjoy spending money on that isn't a necessity?

              • @japes: I fully expected the responses. I don't spend any money on anything that costs 4 times what it should with no added benefit.

  • How good and comfy are these?
Are these still made in Australia.

Very - have excellent insoles and the rubber soles have great properties. All RM Williams Chelsea's are made in Australia, and pretty much their whole line of shoes/boots are minus the sneakers and Chukka's I believe.

    • The shoes yes, all made in SA. The other stuff not so much.

      Clothes and accessories probably not.
Unsure on the bags for example

    Whackest 'shoes' ever

  • I ordered a pair from Nungar last week but they still haven't approved my order yet. No money has been taken from my account and I sent an email asking. In the meantime I found similar boots by Meermin for $350 that are also made with a 1 piece of leather but with what looks like dainite souls. They might be a good alternative if the RMs are out of your budget.

Also Harold boots on the Nungar site looks nice too with the same styling for about $300 with Kangaroo leather but made in Ho Chi Minh.

    • yeah

      made in Ho Chi Minh.

don't think they are legit eh

must be a drunken roo hopping to the vietnam

Nah raw materials is peanuts and with the rise of globalism transporting it around is cheap as chips. The real money saver is circumventing high labor cost in the developed world. The Harold company, like many other Aussie companies, went overseas for manufacturing. Blame globalism and capitalism if you're a hardout nationalist, praise them if you're a globalist.

      • The Vietnamese certainly aren't bad at making shoes. I've got a pair of Fugushin's that are impeccable. Grant Stone also manufacture in China and are amazing.

  • Can anyone recommend where to get these resoled? Do I go to the official store? How much will it set me back?

I think mine are due for it, not exactly sure how to tell though…
