12V socket compatible with car chargers

Two standard sockets for connecting other mains-powered tools

The Bosch GML 18 LI PowerBox 360 radio charge is a revolution in portable music. With four speakers, it delivers 360 degrees of sound plus subwoofer. It also contains an advanced digital FM/AM tuner with 20 FM and 10 AM preset stations.

Please note this is not DAB. It has equalizer, battery charging for Bosch, usb port for charging and media player where you can also hook a Bluetooth dongle.

I've bought one today and very please with the sound quality. The radio signal is fine in my area. The SD card and media usb must be format in Fat32 for it to work according to a reviewer. I have not tried it in any other format.

  • Not a bad price but they really should have made it with Bluetooth.

Their new version has bluetooth, however it hasn't been released here in Australia.
Maybe they discounted this version to make way of new Bluetooth version?

      • No big deal. A a small Bluetooth dongle can be inserted in the compartment. There is plenty of room there to hide the dongle securely. I play from the SD card most of the time.

Yes they should..and DAB, why no DAB? It’s 2020 not 1990. Come on Bosch catch up.

      • The unit is like 10years old.

Nice price! I got mine for $189 bit earlier in the year. I have to complement this on the sound quality which is absolute a surprise. I am comparing it to my Sonos Move which is a higher end $500 speaker. Sound quality was on par and if not better IMHO.

Yes its got no BT LE / Wifi etc but for this price, I use this just as a banger sound system for around the pool / beach.

  • I've had mine for 7 years and it's still going.
Use it for work everyday, taken it fishing/camping/bbqs. Dropped and thrown it around, Solid unit.

Sound quality is fairly decent if you're not an audiophile.

    • How long does it last on say a 4ah battery at moderate volume?

      • I never really tried to time the battery life from 100-0, and I mainly used it on power.
But use with the 2ah battery, it pretty much lasted me the whole day.

  • I brought one of the couple months back, not a bad unit sound wise. It also handy to be able to charge your batteries on this when plugged into power. Be aware though it’s slow at charging batteries.
