  • Would jump on this but unfortunately it's too big!

  • Thanks OP. Pulled the trigger. Slight upgrade to my SNZG15J1

  • What is the lug width for this one

    • Not sure, hard to find info on this one. If I had to guess, maybe 45-46mm?

Please give me some time as I am on my way to the warehouse now. I will check this and update.

Are you there yet… are you there yet… are you there yet

          • +6

            @Tuba: Haha……21mm. Thanks

    • Oops just realised I got lug width confused with lug-to-lug!

  • Went for an impulse purchase - hopefully it works with the rest of my wardrobe!

    • Your wardrobe is a Timepiece?

      • Part of my wardrobe is a timepiece

        • Does it also allow you to travel to Narnia?

Great specs for the price. This is the price the SRPDs should be.

    • SRPDs are still selling out at circa $300. There has been one occasion where an SRPD was $199, but came with silicone strap.

I think StarBuy was selling the red and black one for $219 recently with the NATO too. But you're right, they don't seem to have trouble shifting them at the ~$300 they sell for. However most colourways are still $400ish and are exceptionally poor value at that price (they're only barely worth it at $300 IMO given that you can pick up the Orient Mako II/Ray II for $200ish and the Kamasu for $300ish).

        • I wish I had pulled the trigger on the red one. Hoping it drops again.

  • If this had a black dial, I'd buy it. Does a black dial version exist?

    • +1

There is, and if that was the one on special I'd pick it up (SRP289J1)

  • Is this too big for a 6-inch wrist?

    • Too big IMO. My wrist is just under 7 inches and anything bigger than 42mm looks large on wrist.

  • I'm having trouble to find any informations regarding to this model, what year model is this?

  • after 15 months resisting Starbuy's deals this one got me. really nice design and pretty different from my other watches.

  • How about the same deal on the black dial model, pretty please star buy?

@Wafflel, Seiko got this model in from Japan for us and not sure they will be able to get any more new stock at this stage as there are major supply chain issues at the moment with inventory out of Japan. In case they are able to, we will message directly. Thanks

      • I'd go for the black face at this price too!

      • Please message me directly as well if you are able to get in-stock of the black dial variant for the same price!

      • Looks like people are lining up for the black dial. A busy day ahead if you lovely people can manage to make it happen!

Also, Please do message me directly! Thanks for the reply. You guys are above and beyond, I'm a repeat customer for many good reasons.

  • Thanks, just bought one
This will be a good daily while I save up for a SRX015P1 or maybe something Swiss

  • I thought this was a quartz watch for that price. Until got it today i noticed it has a clear case back and saw the movement. Really good deal for $199 to add to the collection.

    • just got mine too, looks gorgeous in real, very nice details and perfectly aligned.

      bracelet feels nice too.

NOTE it has rotating bezel, oddly was not mentioned in description when usually is.

      • yes, there should be better photos to show what it actually looks like. I was surprised about the rotating bezel too. It does look good. The photos does not make it look good at all.

        • yes. very unique with more of a dress design and the subtle rotating bezel keeping it functional

the day date is English and Japanese/chinese numeric if my google-fu is correct not the more common kanji letters (first time I get a watch with the week day so all new to me)

          • @swings: japanese and english day

            • @Bruno28: google shows most should have kanjii, the one I receaved has no Japanese kanjii but japanese/chinese numeric

no idea if is odd of mine, but definetly is not in kanj

              • @swings: i thought it was Japanese since its a JDM watch.

    • Is the case diameter 42mm or 40mm? Found a few websites that say 40 a few that say 42. Not a very popular watch it seems.

      • +1

to me it looks more like a 40 compared to my other watches.

this said, while usually I wear 43/44 divers and chrono, this one it feels nice on the wrist, the bracelet is 21 so it still keep the watch solid on the wrist and it looks well balanced over all.

My missus was tempted to steal from me and while being on the bigger size on her wrist, the only deterrent was the weight (too much for her taste).
