    $429 Delivered (RRP $549)

$549 isn't your normal price though.

That is a misleading price comparison according to ACCC law…

The RRP of Q Acoustics Speakers like most other products in our industry increased 10-15% across the range due to the decline in the Australian Dollar.

The new RRP of $549 was applied 1st of May.

  • I would avoid these if you aren't planning on having a sub woofer. The 65Hz cut off is abysmal. Save your money and buy the 3030i.

    • +6

65hz is respectable for a 4" driver. You are comparing them to 3030i which is a 6.5" and costs over double these at current sales prices.

Unless you want a lot of bass in your music 65Hz is actually fine and would be suitable to a range of people.

But then other people would use these in a 5.1ch or 2.1ch system where you are going to set the crossover to 80Hz and send anything below to a subwoofer.

    • Wouldnt be the best to use these outside of a rear speakers in a larger set up. Especiaslly as for $70 more you can get the 3020i from these guys.

Go store rep, I've got bets on you against anyone.

    • Yeah, even the usual numpties just being a PITA as usual.

  • I've blown one of my rear Q Acoustics 2010 and was wondering what would be the equivalent for ceiling speakers?

Got 2020 as fronts and a active monolith sub powered by a old denon avr-1910.

    • +1

Have a lot of different options, Q Acoustics have some in-ceiling speakers but they use different drivers so no huge advantage to go with those over another brand.
But if you wanted to stay with Q Acoustics have a look at the QI65c or QI65p models, we don't have any of those though.

If you are looking for a good value for money / neutral sounding in-ceiling speaker I'd recommend these:
      https://www.customht.com.au/products/encel-6-in-ceiling-spea…

      They'd match in well sound-wise.
