I have Mizuno Wave Rider 22 in my rotation at the moment (via some deal at Amazon last year). Quite a "clunky" running shoes and probably only good for heel strikers, but the outsole rubber is so thick that it might easily last thousands of kms.
brought those too in white, agree a bit clunky and ugly but a good trainer for those easy long runs, I've have done 640 kms and rubber has only started wearing and flatting out on the ball of my feet recently
I have the older model Wave Rider 19. I bought 2 pairs for around $78 each delivered. Not bad but boy did they not last. My big toe tore through the top of the shoe and the outer side of the shoe near your small toe also started to rip (and yes I bought the right size). I agree they are way too firm / hard on the sole and I found I needed to put thick cushioned insoles in them otherwise I got sore feet. Personally I am sticking to my Asics Kayano as I find them more comfortable. Perhaps the 22s have improved in comparison to my 19s.

I currently have a pair of Mizuno Wave Sayonara 2's in 11.5 but how do i find the width of the show (is it listed on the shoe somewhere?)
On my old ones it's at the bottom of the inside tongue label.
