  • I had to remove the iPad from its case in order to plug in the USB C drive.
    Poor design.
    Regret buying it.

    • The all-plastic design is a big problem with this - if they had a metal body with metal catches then the ends wouldn't retract all the time.

    • What else are they gonna do? Have an ugly ass extended USB-C connector just so it fits in your iPad? It wasn't designed for iPad use anyway, it was really for the new Macbooks.

      • I am sure engineers at Sandisk are smart enough to consider iPad users.

Bought this and it shows only 114GB usable storage, did some research and it seems to be a common problem

      • Yes thanks, after those researches i did, finally realized…

I am certainly not endorsing this—I hope at some point a government somewhere clamps down on this because the huge capacity of drives these days means that more and more space people paid for is not supplied. If one government does the industry will be more motivated to be honest.

@Koffee: This… isn't false advertising. It is 16 gigabytes, Windows and other OSes just read it as gibibytes. If anything it should be the operating systems making the switch to a far simpler standard.

  • Theres typically a reason why these are cheap, even if it's USB3 don't be surprised if its ~25MB\sec write speeds. imo better off buying the sandisk extreme range as refurbs on ebay from HK or China for a little bit more but 4x faster.

  • Anyone know where I can get cheap 8gb or 16gb usb sticks in bulk (up to 40). Cheapest I can find is $14 for 3x16gb pack from officeworks. Usb 2.0 is all I need.

I'd also like to know this.

  • waiting on 2tb usb-d

    • Wont happen. According to IEEE standards, it jumps right to USB-e
