We've released a major update for our Chrome extension and if you have our old version, you'll need to uninstall it and manually install our new version (V6.0). If you make a purchase (no min spend) through the new version of our Chrome extension, we'll also put you into the draw to win $500 Cashback 🤑.

chrome extensions are useful but also a privacy risk. For these extensions to work properly they need to 'read and change all data' of the sites you're visiting. Is Shopback storing and using this data?

Honey's extension (which tracks prices and discounts) got into problems because of this:

  Certain data is collected yes: for stores that we support cashback for and are supported on the extension - the store name itself, store URL and page views. For diagnostic purposes: browser type, OS, error logs and event timestamps are also collected.
