  • I used them to get a couple of trees pruned a few days ago the guy was ok he did a good job got quite a few phone calls, get some quotes and see how you go.

The fact you are asking the question indicates you have your own doubts?
To my mind any company that encourages misleading reviews should be avoided as it demonstrates they are a dodgy outfit.

Ouch $600,000…I think other review website should be investigated. Too many fake reviews, or negative reviews being taken down.

    Have you considered Airtasker?

  • I have used Service Seeking a few times and found the service good and generally got quite a few quotes, this is annoying as there are lots of tradies on there with zero feedback / recently joined.

I had previously used reviews (along with price) to determine which tradies to go with. Obviously that cannot be trusted.

For those wondering what they done…..

Service Seeking’s ‘Fast Feedback’ feature allowed businesses to use a template to draft their own reviews and choose a star rating for their service after completing a job. This draft review was then emailed to customers. If a customer did not respond to the business’ self-written review within three days, the review was automatically published under the business’ profile on the Service Seeking platform.

Yes that is misleading future customers plus the fact it was auto published after just 3 days too. Fine sounds fair to me.

  • I use Service Seeking for everything. It has been good so far. The only issue is people lie about their locations. Recently I requested some quotes to get a Tree pruned. I got calls immediately, everyone said they live close by. And one of them said he is working in the next street. So, I booked him so that I could get that done and go shopping. He came after 3 hours. :D

how could you possibly rely on any reviews on the website?

  • Sounds just the same as airtasker. It’s just a few taking platform to get tradies in contact with those who want smaller jobs done.

Take the reviews with a grain of salt.

  • Yeah, it just another online aggregator like airtasker and hipages, all they care about is tradie hooking up for giving quote and don't care about the rest, no wonder you will see only positive review on there.
