Converting a Flexi E-Gift Card

I have a $150 Gift Flexi E-Gift Card that unfortunately does not have JB HI FI as a redemption option. It covers mot large retailers (Woolies, Coles, Target, Big W etc) so is there a way I can buy an alternative option like a Woolies then use that gift card to buy a JB Gift Card? Looking for any Ozbargain hacks that you think could work.

Do you buy groceries from Woolies or Coles? If so, use the Flexi Card to pay for them.

The money you do not spend on groceries can be put towards a JB Gift Card.

    • Agree, but I suspect this logic will go completely over OP's head.

      • That's because a lot of these posts are thinly veiled questions about MS.

          Multiple sclerosis?

        • Nothing thinly veiled. I literally got given this gift card and want to redeem it for JB which is not an option via the redemption portal. I have no need to use it anywhere else and my groceries are split throughout my household so gets reallly difficult to manage.

        • bit of a convoluted manufactured spend if that was the case in this instance.. all for only $150 …

There is an old saying, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Well aware of using it for groceries but I don't want to so I asked the question.

        • What was not nice about their comment?

          • @John Kimble: Insinuating logic has gone over my head is an insulting phrase that didn't really add anything constructive to the conversation.

@shaughan12: Well, I dont think they were trying to insult you, they were just trying to cover a bases/provide you an alternative you might not have thought of. They don't know you or anything else you haven't mentioned in your OP.

It's like when you call tech support and they ask you "have you turned it off and turned it back on again?". It's not supposed to be an insult.

Why were you not also insulted by the comment below to sell it on the classifieds?

If you post on a public forum and ask for solutions from random strangers to a problem, I find it odd to be insulted by said suggestions.

              • @John Kimble: Not even a close comparison, atleast the comment below offered some form of solution.
