JAS2020

As promised, we're glad to release our NSW & QLD deal. We've been getting many requests regarding a system for these states. The quickest way to get a detailed proposal with a suggested roof layout and savings report is to send us an email with a copy of an electricity bill and a photo of your switchboard (with all the switches). If we are running behind on sending out the quote, please feel free to pick up the phone and give us a call on 1300 516 250. Often, delays are caused due to verifying complicated roof layouts with our in-house engineer.

We would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your tremendous support over the last few months. Being a family owned and operated business, we have loved the interaction we've had through these forums as well as over email and phone. Once again, we can't stress how happy we've been servicing the OzB community solar requests 😃

Based on the feedback provided by you guys, we are very close to releasing our new and exciting website. Sneak-Peek Here

Should I send you bill and switch pic to [email protected] to proposed layout and saving plan?

    • Hi mate,

Yes please! That would be the best way for our quotes team to contact you!

We will begin working on all quote requests tomorrow morning :)

Do you install higher end components like cells, rec, LG, fronius, enphase, solaredge, etc?

How long have you been around?

Do you use your own installers?

    • from above:
"If you have any specific Inverters or Panels in mind, please let us know, as we are happy to work out a deal. • Hi Uskompuf,

We definitely stock REC, Qcells, Fronius and SoalrEdge in our warehouse. We are able to source LG and Enphase on request also. This AD has been specifically designed for a lower upfront cost - on demand. We can alter the quote to install a range of products if need be.

We have been operating as a Solar Retailer since 2018. And though our speciality is in Commercial solar installations (recently installed a 200kW system in QLD), we have completed over 100+ installations this year alone. We subcontract our install work, but you can be assured we have taken every care to find a team of installers who are at the top of their game.

      Happy to chat further :)

Recently got solar installed and they did such a terrible job that it caused a water leak in my roof.

I ended up choosing this installer as they were $600 cheaper than every other quote I receved for a comparable system. I'm assuming they paid bottom dollar as they used sub contractors to install it. They rushed the job, didn't re-seat the tile correctly and didn't seal up the gaps properly.

Fair credit to them, they did send someone back a week after it got installed to fix the leak, but overall, in hindsight, just to avoid the stress and hassle, I would gladly pay the extra $600 to get it installed by a company who uses their own in-house installers.

Don't always get sucked in with the cheap prices.

        Hi SeanConnery,

Thanks for your feedback. I am unsure if you are mixing us up with another company or not. I can assure you from our end that we do not use substandard installers, and I am sure many on OzBargain can vouch for that.

Further to this, mistakes do happen, and if the installer was to make a mistake, it might not necessarily be because they are 'substandard' or because they are 'rushing the job'. If they honour their warranty and send someone out to fix the job, I believe they are doing what anybody who made a mistake should be doing.

        :)

It was installed with a different company here in VIC. Apologies for any confusion caused.

Yes, you are absolutely correct, as long as the warranty is honoured, then it should be okay.

          • +1

            @SeanConnery: Hi mate no worries!

Could you please delete your comment so people dont confuse us with someone else!

            Thanks for that :)

  • This price looks pretty good.

A few questions, are you an approved retailer as opposed to just accredited, how long have you been operating and how much more for 3 phase?

    Thanks

    • Yes we are an approved Solar Retailer by the CEC. You will find us on their website :)

We have been operating as a Solar Retailer since 2018. 3 Phase will be roughly an extra $500 :)

  • I already have 6.6 Kw system (5Kw SMA inverter with Trina panels) installed last year.. I am thinking to upgrade it to a bigger system. Can I install 2 seperate system in 1 house, or any way you can help to upgrade this. I am located in Sydney having 3phase double story house. My friend also has same system (on single story house). We both are interested to go for a bigger system

    • Hi mate,

No issues. Based on your local distributor you may be allowed to install up to 10kW inverter on a single phase property. If you could send us through some more details (electricity bill and a picture of your switchboard, we will definitely be able to help out!

      Cheers :)

  • How does this compare to free with electricity bill any idea? I have been thinking of signing up the linked one for a while but still haven't decided.

    • Hi mate,

What they have is quite a good deal as well! Difference is purely that ours allows you to 'own' your system from the start.

      :)

Less than 2 years in the business….
That’s a big red light in the solar game.
I hope the business is a success and you guys are around in 5 to 10 years time to deal with warranty issues but the cynic in me thinks otherwise

    • We hope so too!

We're in this for the long haul :)

    • Yes my concern too.

So many companies don’t last the distance in this industry and what happens with warranty or if you have questions etc then?

I was considering a cheaper system from another company and was concerned they had only been around for 5 years.

I also find the first statement I read on the website a little misleading “ With over 14 years of experience in the energy industry”. Might create the wrong impression.

      • I can help with this question since I was in this situation (installer changed business name, classic re phoenix).

You need to then chase the warranty with the manufacturer direct.

To cut to the chase, i got 'premium' Q cells / SMA inverter and a couple of panels are falling apart in 8 years. So many caveats to wiggle out of warranty, it basically doesn't exist. But, a new system with double the capacity will pay itself off in a couple of years now, so it's a no brainer.

Current system still works, just full of snail trails and inverter shows ground fault errors in the morning. Anyone got tips on these (I've ruled out the isolators)? Pretty sure it's the panels, but could be the inverter.

Faults happen on frosty morning, light rain. Doesn't seem to happen on heavy downpours. Clears itself after an hr of sunlight (inverter and panels face east, so both warmed by the morning sun). Inverter is under eaves and doesnt get rained on at all, but fog / frost would get to it.

      Cheers

    • Interested in installer details

    • Hi Manugunta, can you pls PM me also…

      • PM me your contact details and location.

    • Thanks in advance @manugunta. I am keen to know the company contact details as well please. Appreciate if you can PM please.
I tried to PM you but your PM is off.

  • How much in Vic? Do you have installers in Vic or do you subcontract out the work?

Can / do you run your cables down the brick cavity to the inverter? So many crap looking installs where they run conduit from the fascia to the inverter then slap some flex onto the end.

    • PM Sent :)

  • Do you install on Central Coast? Any extra charges?

    • There will be a slight transportation fee. The quickest way to get a detailed proposal with a suggested roof layout and savings report is to send us an email with a copy of an electricity bill and a photo of your switchboard (with all the switches).

Price please on 27x Jinko Tiger N-type 390w panels and 10kw SMA Tripower inverter installed in Sydney. Single story, colorbond roof and 3 phase

    • PM Sent :)

  • my 7.92 pv system averages 30 kwh daily. is this acceptable?

    • What Inverter Size?

      • i only have 6kw fronius, and 24 x 330 panels all on flat roof. pv will only start generating around 7.30 am, by 5pm gone.

    • depends on your location, panel orientation, shading issues, inverter size, age of panels etc.
need more detail to give an educated answer to that question.

check pvoutput for similar systems in your area

  • @Pristine Solar Do you install in Canberra, ACT?

    • If you can send through an email with your details, one of our reps can get in touch :)

  • Hi, just want to make sure that you're aware that in order to contract to install solar system in NSW, company will require electrical or building license, which I couldn't find it under Pristine Solar. Although you are CEC approved retailer, you will still need to follow NSW fair trading license requirements.
More than welcome to give fair trading a call to verify.
    Thanks

  • Just wondering how much it would cost to upgrade the inverter to a fronius primo5 to add on to my existing system (fronius primo5 with 6.4kw lg panels)?

I’m assuming I’d need a fronius amart meter in order for both to work together and maximise my single phase 5kw export limit in Qld

Sent PM a couple of days ago but haven't heard back yet.
