4TB 2.5" External Hard Drive for $135 or less

Hi,

I am trying to get a 4TB 2.5" External Hard Drive for $135 or less. I recently ordered one via Amazon but turns out the seller was bogus and the only posted deal I have seen pop up in the last few weeks sold out in less than 30mins.

No preference on brand just needs to be 2.5" and 4TB.

Please let me know if anyone has seen a drive in this price range.

EDIT/Update

Thank you to those that provided suggestions and feedback,

I was able to stretch the budget due to the extra 1TB and purchased https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/554826 - WD 5TB Elements Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0 $154.34

For anyone else looking there is also a 4TB Lacie @ $139 on this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/554782

  • Have you tried searching on Google? Hard drives aren't exactly rare items.

    • +1

@bobbified of course but can't find anything in my target price which is the reason for this post.
If you have found something I would appreciate you sharing the link.

      • I haven't searched it myself, but I'm wondering why you've got such a strange amount that you would like it "under"?

        • $135 is how much I have to spend. That's my budget.$135 or less.

  • If you want to hit that price point try shucking a 4TB portable drive.

    • @websterp what do you mean? I am looking for an external 2.5" drive so why would I want to shuck something?

      • Sorry my B. Should have read the title first. You will have to up your budget at least by $15 from what I have seen.

  • These regularly cycle in price: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07MY4JL3Q/

Bought for $119 last month so keep an eye out on different colour SKUs.

    • Thanks Hybroid. Great feedback and I have created a price camel alert.

  • Spend an extra $7 ?

Spend the extra money, local big brand, and simple warranty if it fails. Personally its a no brainer.

    • nice fine @Yorkshire-Man - Something to consider also.

Office works also list a " Basic Portable Hard Drive" but the SKU's are different but I might roll the dice on a price beat.

      • Seems identical to me. Price beat would get it virtually to your target price & pickup in-store.

        • I agree it seems identical but typically Office works will deny the price beat if the SKU does not match. I will try and report back on the outcome.
