The hisense is more reliable but the tcl's usually have more $ per features. Mind you they usually have many more problems then the hisense.
I bought tclp715 last week from goodguys commercial for 713$ but i had to pick up from store. I am darn happy with it. Thank god didnt pay any premium for samsung or sony
my sony just died after only 3 years of use and now i need a new tv instead of sony
how good is smart tv? there are many complains that android is too slow on tcl
We just returned a 3.5 year old Sony with issues to JB - sent off and fixed for free no problems. Might be worth trying to return or chasing up with Sony….

I got my 55 inch Sony 4K Android TV for $799 last November
we have a hisense 55S8 that replaced a 55N7 pretty happy with the TV picture quality is excellent, and a 3 year warranty

Ah I wondered if it would be something like that. How's the app store or whatever for FTA TV streaming apps?
Eg: our lg has no channel 10 app. But has all the others lile iview, sbs etc and they work pretty well
@justtoreply: i thing most new tvs have what they call freeview plus that can get most of the content from those apps. i dont use it often so i'm not 100% sure if the freeview plus functions is able to access the same content as the app.
for example i can select channel 10 and a toggle will come up on the screen i can select 10 play using the coloured buttons. once selected i can view guides, what is playing or playing next, access catch up and also search for different programs

Got this to replace my dead plasma. Hopefully I made a right decision.
I have Hisense RG 55 (Android) and only bought TCL P715 (Android) on the weekend. Initial comparisons, TCL has a much better menu system and faster than the Hisense. One issue with Hisense I have is I have to power cycle the TV every 4 weeks or more otherwise it just slowed down or crash. On the TCL, I saw that it included a memory cleaner which supposedly will fix the similar issue found on Hisense. Tried to install memory cleaner app I can find but does not do the same job sadly.
At this stage I found TCL is a cheaper TV but has better Android implementation. Will have to use it bit longer to find weakness for the TCL.

TCL P715 - is it android TV or Roku like for US market?
UPDATE:
TCL is a better Android TV. P715 is responsive and the picture quality is better. The LCD however is not uniformly lit though you won't see when it's full black. The menu rather confusing but the TV Guard app is useful to keep the TV running smoothly.
I'm thinking of complaining the HiSense to their customer service now and swap for another TCL.
Zoro02 which P715 you have.. i mean screen size… i am thinking to buy the 75inch…kindly let me know. as i am thinking to buy tomorrow..If you can give more info about refresh rate and how does 4k movie perform. Hope no sound sync issues and all. Plz give a full review if possible. Thanks
I bought a tcl from the deal. 55" and actually Im happy with it - android tv no issues with it at all.
Can't tell you about 4k videos as I tried 4k just for test from YouTube and using it mostly for Netflix and other streaming, they are not available in 4k and for PS4 playing
Previously I had a 65 Sony, which was slowly, but the screen was brighter.
Definately for $700 tcl is the best buy
Does tcl p715 75inch has Bluetooth in it??
