Everyday Rewards & Bupa Have Joined Forces to Make Health More Rewarding

I'm looking to switch health providers and was intrigued by this deal to received 90K Woolies points for moving to Bupa.

https://www.woolworthsrewards.com.au/partners/bupa/rewards.h…

According to their website, 90K points is equivalent to $450 Woolworths dollars.

I just wanted to understand this correctly - I can only really use this money over 45 different transactions to save $10 each time? Or will it let me redeem $30 if I do a $30 shop.

  • It'll let you redeem $30 for a $30 shop if you have $30 in Woolworths Rewards dollars.

    • so I could go redeem my points for a playstation if I wanted to at Big W?

        • Yeah but this is where I got confused:

"Yes, you can choose to enjoy your Everyday Rewards dollars in store and online with BIG W in increments of $10."

When I read increments of $10 - I read it as if I buy something for $50, I can only save $10 at a time…

          • @danny1213: They mean that you have to redeem them in lots of $10 i.e. if your PlayStation is $399 and you have $450 of points, you can only redeem $390 of points, not $399

Nothings free in life. Better to do research on best health issuer for your needs. Then shop at cheapest supermarket. Your the one who pays for these points thru your loyalty.

  • Yes, absolutely tell your insurance company exactly what you're buying at the supermarket every time. It's not like they'd totally use that information to raise your rates when they find out you're buying Coke and chocolate more than once a month

I dont care what information they have… I'm only getting health inusrance for tax purposes

    • Wouldn’t your annual premium be $4000-$5000?

      • Yeah I didn't look into this offer properly and it actually sucks. I'd rather just do the standard 6 weeks free

        • 6 weeks free but 6 month wait to claim on a policy that may not be the cheapest or best option.

          • @Stewardo: Normally the waiting periods roll over from your previous fund. The prices are cheaper than what I'm paying now and I don't use it. trying to reduce costs as I can always move back to another provider later.
