Brilliant prices, quality looks questionable tho… Imagine replacing your sink with either of those just to drop your toothbrush into it and have it break into 5 pieces (the sink, not the toothbrush) - only left with the inevitable option of buying a new one elsewhere for more money? 😳🤷🏼‍♀️

  • Wonder how they make any money…

By getting rid of overstock instead of paying to dispose of it or paying to warehouse it. They got the bulk discount in the first place so they can afford to sell these leftovers at a loss.

    • Wonder how they make any money…

      Short answer: they don't.

But Amazon has made a lot of profit from them. And pays almost no tax in Australia (or anywhere else).

Got some last time, 2 sinks were smashed to pieces and 2 had imperfections in the porcelain.

    • +5

Perhaps for that price it's a DIY where they expect you to glue it back together? 👀

      • +9

Going to need some good glue, some of the sink was actually in powder form lol. I still got the pic of it https://i.imgur.com/zHFi8UJ.jpg that was the worst out of the two.

        • Thanks for sharing.

I'll cover it with resin before installing it.

    • How did they deal with your complaint, did you get your money back or a replacement?

      • +8

AstiVita were excellent, they promptly gave a refund and said dont send it back and it happens a lot. I think its why they are getting rid of the sink stock, sick of "sinking" money in to breakages.

If i recall AstiVita were giving sinks away during the fires to people that were impacted. So full kudos to them.

last sale i ordered 2 sinks for our ensuite reno… both had hairline cracks in them. I'm assuming they clear out factory 2nd's by putting ridiculously low prices on products instead of destroying them.

I think I bought basin mixer for $5 last time still going strong.

Fantastic prices, shame I don't need anything.

These guys are legit. I ordered taps and bathroom accessories from them last time. Great quality and even better prices

    Cheap birdbath?

    • That's actually a really good idea, and the drain would be useful too. Chuck in the wall mixer rigged to a garden hose, nek minut you'll be wondering how you can make use of the towel heater…

Be nice if they included glue for assembly for when it arrives smashed to bits. Ordered a sink anyways. I like a gamble. Not a clue what Ill do with it.

With some glue. A jigsaw puzzle.

  • Licensed plumber cannot install tapware without a WELS rating I thought?.

    • +3

If you are so cheap to buy these products you would be too cheap to hire a licensed plumber. It's DIY all the way!

  • Thanks OP. Great timing. The kids dropped the salad bowl last week. Hope these salad bowls are shatter proof.

Link to the Electric Heated Towel Rail? Can’t seem to find it.

This.. Or half a cup of single origin
    Coffee in Marrickville?

  • Set the basin on a 99 cent bucket and you have yourself a $4.79 en-suite urinal for your bedroom.

    • And never have sex again.

      • Just buy a pink bucket and another basin. You'll have a His and Hers en-suite bathroom. Or His and His, or Hers and Hers, if you prefer.

  • Can’t find the towel heater
