  • Hmmm, I've been thinking about a large capacity SDHC card. Thoughts?

it's a not a bad price for sandsk 16g sd card, but depends on what u will use for, because it's only a class 4. better buy class 6 or above for video taking.

      • So.. Class 4 won't be suitable for a standard digital camera's video features?

        • I think class 4 is ok if you're not recording full HD. I've used a sandisk Class 4 MicroSD card for recording 720P video and it worked ok. Anyway, I've ordered one.

      • +2

Class4 will do 4MB/s sequential write as minimum. When it comes to random write, it depends on the card. Most Class8 and CLass 10 SD/microSD cards have very poor random write speeds when compared to Class 4. So for video recording, as long as your video camera does not record at above 32000 kbps, then this card is fine.

Class 4 support for fullHD depending on your device configuration/compression.. I got 8GB from Office Work before I hope this is genuine Sandisk, so far it has not disappointed me for my Nikon DSLR camera and Video. Christmas and new year coming soon need more memory to captures. Going to Order more for 16g Sandisk good bargain price thank you for posting here.

      Well you maybe 1/2 right…
Static Ice list these same Sandisk 16GB for $15 at my local computer shop (Computer Alliance). Also 4GB Toshiba for $5.
Was about to buy, but not really worth the $1 saved, when I can walk down the road & pick them up straight away from a shop.

      • +1

Maybe better for you if just down the road, for others, they will value the delivery and less hassle.

        • +3

Yes, I understood that. Just was pointing out these are available elsewhere for about the same price. Am a bit wary of fakes. Hey - I can do with the exercise anyway.

    • I think he mixed up what he was meant to say.

He meant to say - by the time you pay for the store then you can get a ship for the same cost, if its available.

Argh, I could really use these, but in a MicroSD..

    • Same here. I bought a fair few standard SD cards when Officeworks had the 8Gb at $8. What I could use is 16Gb of storage on my tablet (which I wish took standard SD cards).

I love my Toshiba AT100 with it's Full SD Card Reader.

  • For future reference for anybody unaware…When it comes to flash memory, Toshiba is Sandisk, Sandisk is Toshiba. Dvd patent royalties and memory cards have been their bread and butter for quite a while now. Anyway, pretty good price for 16gb if in proper retail packaging. (Never buy OEM - just too risky with all the fakes out there…)

  • +1

    Not fake I hope?

At this rate, you might as well call us StealFox!

    Doesn't exactly inspire confidence…

    • +5

100% Australian stock and 100% genuine. They all come in Retail packaging too.

  • I brought one of these cards form this website when it was posted last time. When it arrived it was in the normal retail pack, same as what is in Officeworks. It appears to be genuine and has been working fine in my camera so far. As for their product descriptions: "At this rate, you might as well call us StealFox!" It does make me laugh whoever is coming up with that stuff is not taking themselves too serious these days.

  • anyone know good deal on 16GB with class 10?

  • Bought the 4Gb SanDisk cards from the previous post (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/55158) and pretty happy. They arrived nice and quickly and in the original packaging. Working as well as expected in one child's DSLR - although he'll probably need to avoid shooting video OR doing even huge bursts of sequential shooting (given the image sizes he's saving in RAW format).

I see that they've also got 8Gb micro sdhc cards for a reasonable price (http://www.dealfox.com.au/sandisk-micro-sdhc-8gb-card).

  • Out Of Stock ! Not happy tryed this morning on my Tab but when ordering wouldnt take my Suburb etc.Just tryed again on Computer and found the message.Oh well they come on now and then

  • Out of stock, but I thought I would post my test results. I placed my order on 23/10 and received them today on 25/10. Extremely fast processing and shipping. Testing using H2Wtest showed full capacity and zero errors.

The random 4k writes are actually 36 times faster than my Lexar Class10 microSD 32GB card!
