  • Not bad. Can't beat $5 for a 4GB Sandisk SD Card.

  • are they fake?

on ebay AU they go for $5-6 per item,

    • +1

100% Genuine Australian RETAIL stock (in Retail packs not just a cheap plastic case). Our parent group was the ex-Australian distributor for Sandisk and this is residual stock. So get them while you can

You can get 16gb class 10s for around $28 delivered:

    http://www.dealextreme.com/p/genuine-kingmax-sdhc-memory-car…

Probably cheaper if you look around.

    • +6

And we all know what 'genuine' from Dealextreme can sometimes mean :)

    • What the heck is KINGMAX?

  • +3

I purchased the 16GB SD Cards last week from Dealfox. Ordered one day and it was delivered the next. Coulnt believe how fast they come. So if your after some fast…I recommend Dealfox.

    • same here and i'm in wa

If you want something delivered very, very, very slowly, I recommend DX.

    • +1

Better place your orders now (from DX) if you want it just in time for Christmas…that's pushing it…

    • XD.

    • Sometimes I buy stuff from DealXtreme even if I don't want it.
By the time it arrives, who knows.. I'll probably want it

      • Well it's kinda lame buying memory cards from them, because by the time it arrives, a memory card with double the capacity will be out for the same price lol

  • Good price! Just bought it!!! Hope it gets delivered tomorrow based on troyboy's comments!

  • Nice pressies for anybody with a netbook…

They're the cheapest form of LOCKABLE backup storage
    you'll find these days.

[Just DON'T store them beside your mobile phone!]

  • I wonder why some people always talk bad about a good deal. If you want to be sarcastic, at least provide any substantial evidence. Otherwise, please be sensible and grown up already.

I purchase two items from Dealfox (a micro SDHC card & Casio Watch) and found that their service is good. Both items arrived within 2-3 days (I'm in VIC) so I would say if they can keep up with this level of customer service, I would be a regular.

    • +1

Who's talking bad about this deal? Can't see any negative comments at all. And if you think it's a good deal, why don't you vote positive? (Personally I'm staying neutral because I'm not familiar enough with current memory card prices.)

  • does this class for good for camera ?

    • +1

if it's for a basic simple cheap point and shoot, it's fine.
If you're looking at using it for a more sophisticated point and shoot or a dslr, look for class 10 (class 6 if you're too poor for 10 and if they're still around)
If it's to be used in a video camera this would scrap through but IMO, stick with class 6 or 10 for video.

      • Thank you for your reply, but i don't till get it. How the memory card can assists in term of video's quality ?

        • It doesn't affect video quality directly.
When video is recorded it requires a minimal bitrate which the memory card can write in order to record without jumping/skipping frames if at all. The faster the card the more options you can record at.
eg. If your camera supports recording at VGA and 720p. By getting a class 4 card you will be able to record at VGA but you won't be able to record at 720p because the memory card is not fast enough to write all the data before it is sent new data. Getting a faster memory card will however solve this problem (ie class 6 or class 10)
As for still photos, any old memory card will work even a class 2, just that the slower the card the longer it takes before the camera is ready to take the next shot, as it waits for the data from the previous shot to be written before it can take a new photo.
(Now don't some video pro say that is wrong, this is just a simplification, I know there are multiple bitrates for recording at 720p which affect image quality but for the sake of this explanation there is only one)

        • thank you

  • I currently use SanDisk class 4 SDHC cards (4GB and 16GB) and I'm satisfied with them.

By the way - at $5 per 4GB card (even though you have to buy two at a time here), this seems to be cheaper than MSY.

Also… Price Match at Officeworks, anyone? Seems to be $9.99 per card at Officeworks but you'll get a few cents off :P

    • can we take this and get officeworks to price match? i thought they can only match with actul shops like dicksmith or others, do i just show them this web page?

  • Bought some for the family. Thanks!

  • Bring back the 8GB micro SDHC cards. The cart wouldn't let me buy when that deal was on. Problem with postcodes.

  • bought two, Good deal… thanks for posting

  • +1

great deal. transfer rate for class 4 is 4mb/seconds. not bad for DSLR users shooting JPEG. might struggle a bit with RAW format.

    • Minimum transfer rate is 4MB/s. Though I wouldn't be surprised if these did better

  • +1

A few years late, would prefer larger and faster, but nice deal nonetheless!

  • @ Jason at Dealfox - I have 1000 points but I can't seem to use all 1000 to buy this for free, another bug in your cart. It only lets me use 909 points. But if I buy $20 worth of stuff, it lets me use all 1000 points.

    Please fix

    • Looks like a GST bug in this. I'll look into it straight away but probably can't guarantee a fix straight away though. Sorry for the inconvenience. We'll reserve stock for you though till its fixed.

      • Thanks - you're a legend. Will definitely shop more with you but pity the selection is quite narrow at the moment

        • Hey Bazza! This has been fixed and you can purchase the SD cards with your entire 1000 points.

We're definitely working on our selection and range. Our focus is daily deals at this stage because we want to offer some incredibly good deals. Our core range will grow over time too.

        • Thanks Jason - unfortunately, looks like the deal has been taken down by now.

  • bring on the 16GB micro SD

    • They've done that.
      Sell 32s!

  • Not a bad deal at the moment if you need them urgently. Otherwise, you'll wish that you'd forked out a few dollars more for a 8Gb card instead two or three months later.

  • +1

Wow - the fastest postage on anything I've ever ordered. I ordered this at 4:05pm yesterday, and I just had a MessengerPost courier turn up at the door. About 18 hours. Wow.

Also, I prefer having 2 4GB cards instead of 1 8GB. I'm going on holidays, so if I lose a card, I don't want to lose all my photos. This way I'd only lose half.

    • +1

I can beat that. ordered about 5.30pm yest and got it by 11am today (in Sydney)

      Very quick delivery mate…

  • +1

The postage on this was incredible. Ordered yesterday afternoon, at my door at 8.30am this morning. I think that's the fastest I've ever had anything ship. If I could give you a bigger plus, I would. Wish all companies were this quick!

    • 8:30am nice! Must have been the couriers first run of the day.

  • Got mine today as well (the day after ordering). Excellent!

  • yep, that was the quickest postage i had received. AAAAAA

    • Got mine at 9am this morning

  • Higher class needed.

  • Seems to be gone, even though should last to the end of the day,,..

  • Know its expired - but great service : )
