ATL this year? A few $$$ cheaper than usual. I’m not sure if you can price beat Amazon JP at OW. There’s a few other deals on micro sd (endurance and max if you look around).

Looks limited to prime - sold and shipped by JP Amazon.

I’ve never had an issue with Sandisk via JP. I did with a US card however Amazon easily refunded. That was sometime ago and haven’t had an issue is years.

That said, I still I check capacity and speed using the following tools on all new cards.

  • h2testw (Windows): Fills the card with test data and verifies it, exposing fake capacities and errors.
  • F3 (Linux/Mac): Open-source tool similar to h2testw for verifying the true capacity.
    And:
    • CrystalDiskMark: Benchmarks card read/write speeds to compare with manufacturer claims.

    Seems to be a touch cheaper for $22.99 at Bunnings but is delivery only but free delivery.

    I think this is the same one I looked at yesterday at JBHIFI for $45. Looking for one for a dashcam.

      As someone who used to work at Bunnings, Marketplace is just advertising for businesses on the Bunnings platform.
      99% of issues, need to contact the seller, not Bunnings.

      (Not having a dig, just freakin hate the Marketplace)

      The consensus is to avoid these market place sellers. Issue with fakes and difficult resolution. Haven’t tried myself.

      Cheaper direct from that seller's own website and if it's not genuine you could always knock on their door on Swanston street lol

        You sir are worthy of your username! I do have a targeted $5 off $29 spend which would have made the 2x purchase I was planning just some coinage, but the CheapGit deal plunderer find is even more off the 3x I need, or 4x I should grab!

          Have never made a purchase via Bunnings Marketplace so no idea what the sellers are like. That Veloreo seller is also selling memory cards via Amazon.

            @CheapGit: Sorry but only your first 4 words apply to me, as I never said anything about Marketplace or Bunnings. My reference to the targeted offer is used in the context that we are beginning with an Amazon deal thus it inherits the logical planned purchase up until the discovery of your provided listing, which I also immediately linked back to Amazon having seen it not purchased from them in the past but had never considered to look beyond Amazon for a better price.

          I've had over 6 figure salary working for a business turning over that salary weekly solely based on my work output based income, balanced annually as well. That is to say a very small business turning over multimillion a year, which had a loft as its office that almost rarely was used (why commute when you can not-commute in my case, and working in the field with the same mentality for other positions)

      Switch (1 not 2) option bargain to be had from the Target $10 newsletter sign up discount, applied to Super Mario Bros (I think) current special @ $60 - which comes supplied on a 256GB & free delivery for $50 with discount (whilst not cheaper than this 256GB variant, the performance - reportedly, and 3rd hand now - is in the realm of SSD speed). Mine will arrive beginning of this week for 1st hand confirmation.

      EDIT: Above revised to "likely the best a Switch will utilise" @ $43.90 for SanDisk 256GB Switch Certified from Volereo direct

    The only cards to fail on me, in decades, are these specific cards.

    Failed in multiple different devices.

    Purchased from cheapchips.com.au, so zero chance they weren't genuine.

    I'd go SanDisk Extreme instead.

      I've had mine installed in a dashcam since 2020 recording nearly 80,000 km of footage and hasn't missed a beat - touch wood!

        Same. Outdoor trail cams and what not here. Rock solid. Perhaps chap as chips had a bad supplier.

        I had a Sandisk (not this particular type) in my dashcam which the dashcam didn't complain about, but when it came to getting the footage (fortunately it wasn't for anything particularly important), there wasn't any, and it couldn't format the card.

    Note this isn't Sandisks Max Endurance, and that some Dashcam's and Security Cameras specify Max Endurance, however people still report experiencing problems when using Max Endurance so YMMV.
