  I have one of these from a previous deal.
  Unfortunately, with the additional weight of newer phones this thing just keeps falling out of the vent and down among your feet while driving.
  The cheap plastic clamp is insufficient to hold a 180g+ phone for very long.

  Does anyone have tips on securing it better - cable ties etc?

    Hi VeganLeather, if you mean the clamp has been loosen with the new and heavy phones? If you have bought the normal air vent version, we have single clamp for replacement.

      Yes I have bought the air vent version has the spring loaded jaw/clamp with rubber surfaces that "bite" onto the vent fin, however after driving for a few minutes it falls down into the footwell.
      Do you have a picture of the replacement clamp - how is it improved?
      And how to arrange to get the replacement?

        Hi VeganLeather, I don't know if I have understood you, the replacement I say is like this, you can check your holder, the clip is screwed in with a ball-end design, which allows it to turn 360 full view angle.

    If you get the one with Intelligent Sensor you won't have that problem. It has a clamp and two support legs which can hold probably half a kilo.

      The one with "tight grip that is harmless to air vents"? It looks exacly the same.
      The problem I see with these, is the weight and centre of mass is a fair way out from the attachment point, it does not have support legs and so the load, combined with the distance away creates a rotation that overcomes the "tight grip" too easily.
      I had to go back to my Wafolo car mount with the split rubber cone which seems to work better as it does not stick out from the vent as far.
