Just in time for the new series released on Netflix

This model is rated quite highly compared to other recent Optimus models as good bang for buck

I paid $89 at BigW because it has been quite hard to get but looks like there’s stock at Amazon for cheaper

I first saw Omega Supreme in the comics and thought he was the best thing ever. He had a gun on the top of his head in the comics. Shot Laserbeak with it.

I have an original G1 Omega Supreme. My favourite transformer toy for sure. Close second was G1 Metroplex, followed by G1 Defensor (protectobots). G1 Megatron, Galvatron and Optimus were well played too!

This Omega Supreme looks almost identical to G1 from what I can tell.

      • my brother got the motorised Omega Supreme back in the 80s. man that sh!t was dope!

thinking back, it didn't move very fast when transformed as it was using the same mechanism for when it was a tank. but it was pretty cool at the time

as a kid (and even as an adult) one transformer that i was always wanting to get was the diecast Blaster and all the transforming cassettes

        • Yeah mine is the motorised version. So this new one is not motorised?

@Hazza: it doesn't read like it? it doesn't specifically state that it is so i'm assuming it isn't?

my only gripe with this version is that its legs aren't as chunky as the toy from the 80s. but the old toy probably had them so chunky so as to provide balance for the much heavier engine and batteries-bearing torso

            *** edit/addition ***
you also got the G1 megatron??? the diecast one? daammmmnnn i remember a schoolmate bringing it to school one day. was so jealous.

asked my parents for one but, in their frugality, decided to get me and my brothers the diecast voltron set instead 'cos they intended for us to play nicely together. many a metal toy smashed hand later :-D

            • @shakoo: Ah ok. Yeah the motor/batteries etc made it very heavy so would be fine not to have it. Yep the diecast G1 Megatron. I was lucky as my parents got it second hand from a market, had all the extra plastic bits too like the rear shoulder brace, big scope, front extension etc. I think it had already been banned from sale or import to Australia at that stage as people were using it to hold up convenience stores in the states. I got G1 Starscream to go with him, but really wanted Soundwave too. Never got it.

If you want to spend $2 more you can get dead optimus prime. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07ZPL8SW1/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • You're very lucky I came home empty handed

I knew someone was going to mention the dead one not keen on it

    • a rehash of Motormaster? i've not watched the new series yet :-)

      • No. From the G1 movie where he died.

        • What?!? Oh no I was going to watch it on the weekend…

          😜

    • There’s a comparison on youtube

S11 has a couple of extra unnecessary bits on his arm whilst E11 is almost perfect extra bits wise

Plus without the trailer I wouldn’t call it complete

      • The netflix series used the actual models of the siege toys. It is definitely more accurate, plus it has the axe he uses and the trailer doesn't appear in the series.

        • I believe the model changes when he goes to earth so I guess this Earthrise one is in preparation for a few more episodes :)

  • how tall are these?

    • 17-20cm at most.

This was $49 at BigW's latest toy sale so this may potentially go on sale again.
