      Thanks

  • Only getting 600Mbps in Cairns from ABB. That is at the Network Termination device (ethernet directly to laptop). I have a Google Wifi system downstream usually. ABB and NBN Co say they won't fault find at this speed.

    • Sign-in to the Aussie BB portal

Next to where it says Cairns click on the graph icon. What does it say on the usage graph? Not Cairns (Link 2) by any chance?

  • No - it only says Cairns. On the ABB website Cairns (link 2) has a lower CVC limit, is that what you thought it might be? I have gone back to a 100/20Mbps plan for the last month and then on monday my plan will go back to 1000Mbps again. I am hoping it is enough to kick it back up to close to the advertised speed.

    • Yeah it happened to a clients Gig connection so we had to get it moved across to a link with more spare capacity and the speed increased straight away.

That might fix it. If FTTP you can light up another port with a different ISP to compare.

Port 1 was Telstra, unfortunately they don't offer 1000Mbps, ABB is on Port 2…..But good idea, I might even be able to ask ABB to swap to Port 1 or else I can try a different provider who offers 1000Mbps.. Thanks for the tip.
