  • Very happy with my 7.2KW SolarEdge system (LG Neon Black panels). Make sure you get full consumption monitoring, makes it way easier to match your usage to your solar PV output.

    • Glad to hear that, yes we do offer the full consumption monitoring meter with SolarEdge for a small additional fee.

A quick search can yield a lot of negs with this company, including a comment by me. Very misleading company:

You've given those links before without addressing any of AusDave's actual issues, if you can address them please respond to what he actually raised.

I currently want to buy a solar system in Melbourne, but your replies make you look elusive and deceptive.

"Originally established in 2007, we have installed over 9,000 systems across Australia."
Erik Zimmerman founder of "Rezeko Energy" running neighbourhood solar bulk buys established in 2007, sold to AGL Energy in 2010/11. Littil LED Lights founded in 2012 focusing on LED lights to commercial & trade, this led to a commercial solar division being established called Cherry Energy Solutions. 2017/18 Erik Zimmerman approached by Jim Penman of "Jim's Mowing" to start "Jim's Energy" for the residential sector of solar. 2019 Erik Zimmerman presented with the opportunity to buy back the "Rezeko" brand name from AGL. Consolidated "Jim's Energy" & "Rezeko Energy" and re-branded this as "eko energy"

We use both in-house employed installers & sub-contractor teams for installing jobs across our LED & Solar divisions. All our A-grade electricians, CEC accredited with no work-safe infringements.

  • How much electricity would this produce on an average day in Melbourne? Anyone have one installed that can comment? Just trying to figure out when you would break even with a solar system.

    • So many variants but an average over the year of between 19-22kWh would be a ballpark figure for you

    • -2

about 8-10000kwh per year, doing the daily average is very silly because you will produce a tiny amount for most winter days. If you get it installed now probably takes about 5 years to pay back (assuming average cost is around $5000) but do your research first.

      • Your numbers are way off if a you are eligible for FIT. And I don't know what you consider a tiny amount but my 9kw system generated 30kWh today (was a good day today but I get about 15-17kWh on average during winter). I was not even eligible for the Victorian rebate for my system but i'm still on my way to have my system paid off in another two years (its already been almost a year since I had my PV system installed).

  • SolarEdge is a waste of money, you're still limited to 2 strings, more importantly the number of panel in a string must be limited to a certain extend to allow the string to maintain constant voltage of around 400v, this is a very dumb idea when it goes to solar and electrical physics. Better go with either a string inverter with optimiser or a fully customised micro inverter system if you have a problem with shading or limited roof space. Just throw in extra money for micro inverter and you can crap your panel on over the roof however you like it.

    • Not quite right, I believe that has 2 MPPTs (like most inverters its size) but you can parallel strings.

      • in addition they tend to blow up too

Costs aside, Enphase microinverters are sexy AF.

      • Release the IQ8 already ffs

  • OP can you give an itemised cost breakdown?

  • Would administrator ban this company from posting deals,? Dodgy operator from comments.
