Cellar Aged 2013 McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon $10.50 a Bottle
    TOP SECRET DEAL

    It won't let me buy a bottle…

Is there a 'secret' to buying one?

    • +1

HI JV, It is sold by the case. I have just tested and can add to the cart. You can also order by calling 08 7221 1685

      • HI JV, It is sold by the case.

Your title is implying it is sold by the bottle.

        "$10.50 a Bottle SAVE 65%"

        • Thanks for the feedback I will adjust to not cause confusion

Without any details other than a grape, a location and a normal (imaginary) price we'd really have to treat this like a clear skin. Care to give us any information to understand why this is actually a bargain?

    • Hi we are unable to provide the label detail as agreed with the Winemaker. We do offer a 100% wine guarantee so if you were not happy with your wine we would refund you. This is from one of Australia's best wine region and it is a great quality wine. Sorry I can't share more. We will have a number of these deals in coming weeks as a lot of wineries have distress stock and new vintages coming in.

How is this different to the 100's of mystery deals the likes of Vinomofo have on all the time? I'm not saying it's a bad product, but this is just advertising - it cannot be called a bargain given we don't know what the product is

    • +1

The reason that these offers are mystery deals through us and our competitors is to protect the brand. Yes as a consumer it is nice to know what you are getting and we certainly have a lot of deals on our site that are branded. We offer a 100% wine guarantee on all our wines and personally select every wine. We have 100's of happy customers who are happy to take a shot on a mystery deal. McLaren Vale aged Cab Sav at $10.50 a bottle is a great bargain.

Thanks - I'm aware of why the wineries have these mystery partnerships so as not to cheapen the brand, my point here that you have not addressed is this is the same "deal" as is available on numerous other sites; blind stab in the dark case of wine for $10 per bottle where RRP should be anywhere between $20 - $50. The RRP often has tourist tax built in, and Dans will nearly always be below the winemakers cellar door price. For me this is not a bargain until you know what the product is (and can compare prices where it is readily available elsewhere)

BTW - I buy quite a lot from Vinomofo, sometimes the mystery boxes. My problem is if this deal is allowed to stay up on Ozbargain, then why is every one of Vinomofos deals not advertised on here too as most are also ~60% off?

        • +1

I can actually 100% guarantee you this offer is exclusive to us and doesn't deserve your negative feedback. The RRP has no tourist tax built in and Dan's don't have this wine. You have a 100% satisfaction guarantee on this wine so at $10.50 a bottle on McLaren Vale product what do you really have to lose. Perhaps Somnus you'd rather support the big boys than small Australian businesses with good relationships that bring you direct deals. We are happy to back up our deals with a guarantee. It is different because you won't get this wine at Dan's or Vinomofo. Take it or leave it we work hard to bring great deals to our customers. We are very thankful for the authentic support we have received.

At least Vinomofo give you a bit of a description, but yes I agree, it's just marketing.

        HI OZB AI

We have taken this onboard and will provide further description on our future offers.

Probably the best year to buy wine, once the economy picks up and international trade we won't be seeing decent quality wines on sale as much.

There's been some ripper deals recently.

    • Hi Iyork can't agree more for the consumer their have been great deals. We work directly with the wineries and they have been doing it pretty tough with loss of exports and wholesale. Most don't have a direct to consumer channel which is why they work with us. Next year yields are down due to the weather and also smoke taint from fires so the bargins might not be as good as they are right now. We hope you'll give the Cab Sav a go.

what is the rough rrp from the cellar door? Won't give away the actual wine, but might help convince people it's a bargain… Or even better the price that Dan Murphy's sell it for

    • This wine sells for $29.95 a bottle and this is the RRP supplied by the winemaker.

  • Shipping to Qld is $55 🙃

    • Shipping is based on post-code and is based on our actual cost to ship to your postcode. Brisbane is not $55 however some more remote parts of Queensland are. If you are being offered free shipping then this will be hidden in the margins a business is making. We have made a decision to keep our our margins low offering our customers the best possible price and therefore on-charge the shipping cost. It is however free delivery in Adelaide from Gawler to Goolwa.

Bought a case, willing to take a chance on any wine with this much age at $10 a bottle!

I looked at your website and didn’t see anything about a “100% satifaction guarantee“ you mentioned above.

Was debating getting a few more cases but hard to go all in, hopefully it’ll still be available after it arrives (assuming I like it) even if the price isn’t as good.

    • We have a 100% guarantee on all our wines and really look forward to your feedback. https://winenutt.com.au/guarantee/ if you'd like to see more. We personally select all our wines and work hard to keep our customer's happy and confident with their purchases.
